I am neurotic about laundry.....
While this thread went off on a little tangent, it is covering two topics that interest me....HE Detergents and Chlorine Bleach. Back 10 years ago when I was doing laundry in a top load Maytag washer and thinking I was "All That" I was mixing clorox and...
I also saw this set listed before. While I think the asking price is ridiculous for people like us who collect/sell/trade, the old saying "There is a buyer for everything" is true. Shame on whoever sent a rude e mail. As with everything, if it's not for you, just pass. On the positive side...
Thanks for the awesome pics! I saw "Finish" dishwasher detergent there....had that here years ago and I loved it...when it washed, everything smelled sterelized...not like some fruit or perfume. Thanks again.
Chuck and Kevin....that was my second guess. I understand things only so far, then need the help and advice of others. So it means that any 2 speed Maytag motor that fits will work? Thank You for the help.
What makes the "stroke" longer or shorter for the agitation on a Maytag? I know mine should be the longer stroke, but is it the motor that dictates this and if so, how do I know what motor to use if I need to replace mine (1962 A700)? Thanks

I recently purchased a Siemens Ultra Sense Plus (Bosch Nexxt) and am...
Anyone know of a source for a black or red agitator for a 1954 "N" type wringer? Also a source for a black solid (non flex fin) agitator for a 1962 A700? Any help is appreciated.
Try:
www.partstore.com or www.appliancepartsworldwide.com both are great. Is your agitator one of the older bakelite solid black ones, or is it the aqua one with the flex fins?
I have seen several older washer/dryer Ads stating that they had ultra violet lights. Did they really give a "line dried" scent and kill germs too? If so, why don't we see them today?
I went to Miele's website and clicked on Laundry Products, then Professional Laundry for the Home and the product list is quite extensive...capacities reaching 70lbs. Are we talking about the same new machines?
