    Zanussi Nexus Washing Machines

Input! I totally forgot about the Zanussi Input! I've seen a couple on eBay too, so i'm not sure how they slipped my mind, but thanks for pointing it out Ultimafan :) Optima i'm very jealous of you owning an FJ1296 - it's one of a few machines that i would like to get to add to my relatively...

The future worryingly of elux products......

NB It's the first image posted by Ultimafan that i think doesn't look like a Zanussi (Electrolux) machine - i didn't see that it was Ultimafan that also posted the Ikea models. Im pretty sure these are proper Zanussi (Electrolux). Like Matt, i also don't think it's fair to write-off a brand...

The future worryingly of elux products......

And now.... one to be more wary of, the ZWG1120M. As you can see the main programmer is on the right of the control panel, not something Zanussi have done for a while. The LED display is also centrally located, instead of on the top right. The filter is also mounted behind a plastic fold-down...

The future worryingly of elux products......

ZWG.....confused Im abit confused about the ZWG models. The models Darren & Ultimafan posted definately don't look like a Zanussi (Electrolux) product, so it's right to be wary of these. However, there are some ZWG models such as the ZWG6165 pictured below that look just like an Electrolux...

    Zanussi Nexus Washing Machines

Replacement.... After the facelifted models like the FJS1397W shown in my second photo, the range was completely revised, which was when the FLA1002W range of machines was introduced (around Year 2000), complete with Yellow power button. Hope this helps, Liam

    Zanussi Nexus Washing Machines

FJ1296..... This model appears to sit somewhere between the two ranges as it incorporates the curved dials & rounded off cabinet of later models, but keeps the stripes across the option buttons and the text styles used on older models, ie the font for Jetsystem (although very faded here) is the...

    Zanussi Nexus Washing Machines

Facelift.... The range underwent a facelift, during which time the Nexus (and i believe Delta) names were dropped. The coloured stripes across the option buttons were removed, the dials got slightly curved fronts instead of the flat finish shown in the above photo, and the cabinet edges were...

    Zanussi Nexus Washing Machines

Quick N Clean Optima mentioned the Quick N Clean models. These were available on the Nexus style machines and the later (slightly facelifted) Aquacycle machines. The initial range roughly comprised of: *Delta (using older cabinet with rectangular filter door like some Tricity Bendix machines)...

    Zanussi Nexus Washing Machines

servisslimline.... As many people have mentioned, it will more than likely get the shakes during the spin - this trait seems to effect any Zanussi machine made from when they introduced the Nexus Tub (not to be confused with Nexus model name), which started with the light grey facia models like...

    HOOVER OPH714 D

Solsburian/Haxifan Thanks for the info :) It seems that the A59 makes more sense at the default 60c setting then, as you can run a standard 40c cotton cycle in just a few minutes more with the Time Saver setting anyway, if i'm reading correctly?! I also like the sound of the way the machines...

    Finally, I found it - Gorenje simple&logical

How Long.... I think what's more important is how long the machine spins at 900/1000rpm for, plus its general ability to extract the water. After using a 1400rpm spin Zanussi Essential, we recently moved house & as the new house had a 1000rpm Zanussi Washer Dryer already plumbed in, we've...

    HOOVER OPH714 D

A59,,,, That looks like a decent program. Can you select Sensitive Care/Extra Rinse with that program, to add an extra rinse? Seems a shame that there appears to be no A59 cycle at 40c, but will a standard Cotton 40c cycle be done in about an hour by using Time Saver? Liam

    HOOVER OPH714 D

The Optima in the photo actually looks quite nice. I've usually only seen the basic ones & don't like them because without the LED display the design of the facia looks very bare. The LED display improves things alot i feel. Quality concerns me, given the seemingly poor performance from Vision...

Glad it's not broken! I'm glad the Aqualtis isn't actually broken & can see where the embarrasment stems from (ie forgetting to get the Library Card out of the pocket it was in), but the situation was easy to mis-read & presume the Hotpoint had died! LG seem to have a loyal fan base. My...

    Beko...........

Slow Tumbles? Why do Indesit/Hotpoint actually do the slow tumbles? I could understand it on a wool cycle but when i first saw it on a cotton wash i thought the machine was knackered! Surely an unsuspecting owner must think the same to start with too?! However I do like their washes that...

Miele G5725 SCi XXL Dishwasher problem

Not encountered this...... We've not had this on our now 8 year old Miele dishwasher, so i'd guess it's down to abit of grit in the door seal or a fault somewhere round the rubber/door. Have a quick look for anything obvious (you might've done already) & then phone Miele Customer Service. I'd...

    curiosity

Interesting..... ....that may be the case with Hoover, tho it was just one of a few examples i'd seen. Generally i didn't trust their testing very much as i'm sure it was like many tests (such as car road tests in car magazines) - it all depends on the expectations of the user. I prefer it...

£900 If youre going to spend more than £550 then the only new machine worth bothering with is Miele. Siemens & (particularly) AEG are living off a badge from yesterday & arn't up there with Miele, and LG focusses too much on flashing lights & novelty programming for my liking. Why anyone needs...

Metal Paddles..... I had noticed that all but the most recent Whirlpool's seemed to have metal paddles. Seems very old skool when you think even Zanussi (who i do rate quite highly) moved over to plastic paddles in the 90s. I've always had decent service out of Zanussi/Electrolux group...
