Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

The FJ1296 That was the washer i had about 7 years ago. Very mixed views about it the things i loved about it were the Styling , Extra deep soap dispenser which was easy to remove & clean. The Boil wash programme combined with the quick wash button the way it bypassed on the timer to save time. Loved the spin sequence on the cotton washes. The things i did not like were of course the 90% unbalanced noisy spins very rare the sensor cut in. The Worn Once programme very boring hardly any drum movement & no spins in between the rinses. Heavy soil button just basically turned off the hot water solenoid valve & filled with cold water was expecting more from this button. The static fill without tumbling & jet spraying i always thought the Jetsystem would benefit more from filling & jet spraying & tumbling at the same time. The button i am not 100% sure on is the Economy button did this button just knock the 95deg temperature down to 60deg. All in all a good machine with just a few annoying features.

Input!

I totally forgot about the Zanussi Input! I've seen a couple on eBay too, so i'm not sure how they slipped my mind, but thanks for pointing it out Ultimafan :)

Optima i'm very jealous of you owning an FJ1296 - it's one of a few machines that i would like to get to add to my relatively small collection. I have an Electronic Sensor dryer (TDS483EW) of a similar era & would like to get a washer to match it, but i think to get an exact match (in terms of control panel & dials) i'd have to get a Nexus-based Aquacycle, Sensorcycle or Quick N Clean washer, and none have quite the same appeal as the Jetsystems. An FJS1397W would probably be a slightly nearer match than the FJ1296/FJ1295, due to its smooth buttons (the FJ1295 & 6 have the coloured strips across them), but somehow it still feels like a much newer machine, even though only a couple of years seperate them.

Seen as i've only just picked up my latest find - a Washcraft style Electronic Sensor Dryer (Z930) to match my Washcraft (Z9292T) washer, i suppose i should wait for a while & see what shows up!
