While my new Speed Queen fills with only hot water from the tank on the hot setting, and is not temperature controlled, I have noticed that it is very slow to fill on hot only. The flow seems restricted. This makes the fill very slow on hot only, and also makes the warm setting not very warm...

I was happy before I changed the level, but now I'm very happy. :) It 's a great machine and now I can wash real "extra large" loads.....YAY!!!!!

I just modified my fill level...was much easier to do than I expected. Have a load in now...it's good to see the water where it should be...thanks for all of your help...

I bought this model in September of '97. One down from top of line...the TOL had one more wash/spin option....slow/fast. This model didn't have that, but I found I could "create" the same by choosing the hand wash cycle and selecting normal/fast...wash was still gentle, but the spin was fast...

looking at the back of my machine, I see the three screws you are talking about. These three screws are in cutouts, and there are two others that are not. Do these two need removed also?

Yes! there is a way to raise the water level. It has been discussed on here in a different thread. I am not sure how to do it, without seeing that. I haven't done it to mine yet, as I need another person to help me move it out. SOMEONE ON HERE....HELP US OUT FINDING THE THREAD....

after you stop laughing, reach behind and underneath the panel, and on the right side you will find a flat metal piece, about the width of a paint stirrer. take something (i used the rubber blade off of a spatula) and "jam" it so that the metal piece is pushed down. if you have any problems with...

IMHO, Speed Queen never HAD the need to produce a dual action agitator.

washing directions Unless you have made the water level adjustment to raise it to a pre-waternazi level, think of it as a large capacity machine, not extra large. Don't overload and you'll do fine. It's a great machine.
