Okay, my new SQ AWN432 was installed...looks good so far. Who knows how to defeat the lid switch?

The machine is built such that when you try to bypass the lid switch, the transmission seal breaks and puts carcinogenic oil into your clothes.  You won't know this until your skin starts to peel and all your hair falls out.

after you stop laughing, reach behind and underneath the panel, and on the right side you will find a flat metal piece, about the width of a paint stirrer. take something (i used the rubber blade off of a spatula) and "jam" it so that the metal piece is pushed down. if you have any problems with this, pvt. message me and i can walk you through it over the phone. It's fun to watch it ramp up to top spin speed with the lid open....

There's a couple of other threads about this...somewhere. Toggles sent me the directions and I have since found them by googling "bypass lid switch speed queen top loader". Took me right to the directions on automaticwasher.org....

Be sure to wear rubber gloves and dispose of them quickly after you do this.

UH OH! now I know why my hair is falling out...I always thought it was genetics and my age. Now I know. How long 'til my skin starts peeling?????????

another tip I use to defeat the switch is with a bungee cord.....hooked over top of this flat piece and then stretched down and hooked under the bottom of the machine......

I have also used a cable tie, wrapped around and pulled tight.....

but no matter what method you use, this piece has to be pulled down flat and secured
