Kenmore belt drive clunking/banging and not spinning/draining properly?

The compact belt drive washers have a 4 minute drain before they try to spin. All water should be out before spin starts, if not you have a drainage problem. The reason the water flow slows down when it goes into spin, is the water in the tub is keeping the tub from coming up to speed properly...

    FSP: Who are they?

FSP I think one reason Whirlpool labeled all their parts packages with the FSP logo, was that they were supplying parts for Kenmore also, and used the same package.

The Miracle of the Blackstone Hydractor

Mickeyd's place, Having just visited Mickey, I can tell you he lives in  "washer heaven", not only is the setting with lake view, steps from a beach, and laundry on the deck all great, but he has a most interesting collection. I have not seen such a wide ranging collection of ringer washers...

Dryer Lint - Am I the only one?

Whirlpool 29" dryer, What I have always liked about my Whirlpool 29" dryer with it's top mounted lint filter, is that I can clean the filter with the dryer running. When I start the next load I pull the filter and hold it above the opening as I remove the lint, all the fine lint dust is sucked...

    Sub-Zero New Upgraded Replacement Evaporators

That's what SZ ref. evaporators look  like, they are tall and wide, but very thin, less then an inch.   I have replaced many of them, more then any other brand, and I don't work on many SF refs.,   hope they have fixed the leakage problem.

    Patent of the day 8-19-16

Dual blowers, Some early Whirlpool electric dryers had 2 blowers, one was direct drive from the front end of the motor, the other was the normal belt drive set up. Both blowers were smaller then on the later single blower models.

Sunbeam vacuum coffeemaster / Cleaning question

Before I started composting, I would put the top bowl under the faucet, turn on the water, then pop the filter loose, and send all the coffee grounds down the drain. Unless you have plumbing problems already, this will not clog your drains. Coffee grounds are finer then what most garbage...

    Hotpoint drain heater?

You can't cut or splice the heater wire, that's the part stuck to the foil. The connection must be made on the other side of the connector where the lead wires are connected. You can shorten the lead wires as needed. You should be able to pull the old wires out far enough to make the new...

    Hotpoint drain heater?

Here's the heater I have used in the past to fix this problem. My memory of 10-15 watts was wrong, it's only a 6 watt heater. http://www.supco.com/web/supco_live/products/SH221.html

    Hotpoint drain heater?

There is only one freezer drain, the tube in the back. The white plastic channel covers the refrigerant tubes that run from the freezer coil down to the ref. coil. Because the tubes are connected to the freezer coil that's always well below freezing temp. they placed a low wattage heater inside...

Need sump guard for W Laundromat

Bracket kit, The bracket kit is to repair the bracket that is under the large baffle plate, not the part welded to the tub that holds down the left side of the baffle plate. I have never run into a problem with that part on the left side of the baffle. If that part has been removed, you should...
