    Interesting GE Dryer

Love it!! There was one like that for sale here locally at a nearby thrift store a while back. Was there for a few months before it disappeared. I've felt remorse several times for not getting it.

    Windmaker Fan Finds

Nice fans. I've always liked the Windmakers. I remember when dealers would line them up from smallest to largest in their display windows.

    Lawn Mower Collectors?

Mine are not Lawnboys and I really never considered these a collection but here are my vintage mowers. First up is my Kinco sickle bar mower. I use this for all the underbrush, hillsides, and banks on my property. This thing is a beast and will give you a workout mowing with it! The other 4...

    O Xmas Tree...

I like the older sets too, even the older mini lights. They are getting hard to find around here, even in the thrift stores. There used to be one thrift store that sold lights "as is" whether they were working or not. Not so any more. Just plastic bags of bundled up lights with a pig tail...

The Miracle of the Blackstone Hydractor

Congrats on finally getting this beauty! I too have always wanted to see one of these in action. Any chance of a video? I'm glad this washer found a good home with a deserving owner! Nice collection you have there and I always enjoy the pics of your deck and the beautiful view!! Sam

    Did I Miss Anything?

If it is the spider, is this one of the models that you can only get the spider/tub combination or can you buy just the spider?

    Did I Miss Anything?

I will check it out. Thanks for the advice.

    Did I Miss Anything?

Thanks, Martin. If empty, it'll spin pretty smoothly with just a light clicking sound. Would that be typical of a strut issue?

    Did I Miss Anything?

I'm glad Robert started this thread. I have one of these too that was given to me because of a bad pump. Replaced the pump, ran it a few times and am ASSUMING that the spider broke. Made a deafening crash, boom, clang and bang during spin. Will still wash without issue, but spin is another...

    For Vornado Fan Collectors

I can attest to Raclawski's work. I got a rebuilt motor from him for one of my Vornados. Good, quality work and he took the old motor as trade in.

    Maytag light switch

Thanks guys for the replies. That rebuild job doesn't look too complicated, think I'll give it a try. If that doesn't work out, I'll contact John.--May contact him anyway, just in case!!

Great find! That's a beauty. Congratulations

    Maytag light switch

The red and black push button switch for the panel light on my Maytag washer has gone bad. Any one know of a source or have one of these they would sell? Maytag washer model 142

    HVAC central air in particular

Mine is a 1977 Sears unit made by Heil. Amazingly old but still cranking out the cold. It's a bit undersized for the house and struggles on the hottest days but still going faithfully. Compressor went out in 1986, found a guy that was retiring and had left over parts, replaced that for $300.00...

    Early 50s Voranado Window A/C

Love it! These old AC units fascinate me. I've seen ads for Vornado ACs but can't say that I've ever seen the real deal. Glad you got it!

    Vintage window a/c's

Here are mine. These are becoming more and more rare in this area. #1 is a 60's model GE used in my workshop on hot summer days. #2 is cir.1957 Coldspot, not currently in use but works perfectly. #3 is Catalina "Big Tex" 25,000 btu that my son uses in his workshop. Catalina was a store brand...
