    Rhubarb My Grandma always called rhubarb "pie plant". A large corner of the kitchen garden was given over to pie plant, and it was a regular dessert on the farm. I remember Gram being so excited to get the deep freezer, now she could freeze the stuff! Ah, simpler times...

    Tea towels versus dish towels In this part of the world, the terms are used interchangeably. I've notice, however, that it is mostly my generation and older who use the "tea towel" distinction. Young folks don't even know how to dry dishes, it appears.

    *strains to contain jealousy* Beautiful! I do believe that's featured in a Westy commercial with Betty Furness--I recall her exalting the narrow width and that the machine could mounted under-counter. So Westylicious! That's my favorite Westinghouse logo.

    Oh, my word! She IS quiet, isn't she? All of my wringers make more noise than that, but it's okay. The noise is rather soothing, and it takes me back to simpler days at Grandma's farm. I'm glad she's in good hands, something tells me she'll be like new soon. Let the girl out of the loo...
