your machine is a Norge design machine.....badged by Maytag....as in not a true Maytag.... so the standard Maytag pitman or orbital transmission agitators wont fit.... basically there were only two that fit this machine, a solid straight vane, or the 2 piece auger version.... what does...

the vent may very well be clogged....this would be the first thing I would check... go outside and check the exhaust port while the machine is running.....it should be a strong force of air..... also, when was the last time this machine was opened up and all the lint removed?

well of course you will need the tub ring with the built in lint filter... and most likely your pump already has the 3rd port.... all you need is a length of hose to connect the two... I have converted several machines like this...

I yank the restrictors out of everything.... shower heads, faucet aerators, washing machines.... I even take tools when staying at a hotel, remove the shower head and toss that restrictor.... same goes for tempered water valves in showers, pop off that knob and turn the adjustment up...
