    GE Fan

Um... Well, vintage fans do sometimes go for quite a bit of money. The $1,499.00 would be a bit shocking even so, but there's just one thing: I just checked out the auction, and it is $14.99, not $1,499.00.

Finally Found Something Worthwhile While Thrifting

Great toaster! I have one too. Found that and a nice Hoover Convertible at the same sale, both with the same replacement plug. Guess Mr. was handy! I've never done anything to any of my used estate/thrift/whatever toasters except cosmetically and externally (save for the crumb tray of course)...

    Percolator fun!

That Farberware above I'm thinking is the one Chuffle has on his shelf in that other thread. I've not seen that one before. I've seen that style, but the base is different. Gary, do you have one of the Prestos that has the white instead of black base and handle?

    Two Very Sad Sights

Kelly, you have very fortunate friends, everything looks and sounds delicious and like a lovely meal and great time. I enjoy all your pictures! What do you think of the GE dishwasher? I think you had a KA before. I like the stove. Is it convection, I notice it has 3 racks. :-)

    An Angel Passed Today

What a lovely tribute. I'm happy she had a long life, and I am sorry for your loss.

    Today's POD 8/8

I recognized immediately by the cabinets that these were not regular Frigidaires before I even saw the specs. Interesting they kept the name "flowing heat dryer". Now I'll admit my friend Roger had a Westinghouse toploader for a while and it was a far nicer machine than I would have imagined it...

    My recent estate sale haul!

Old KAs even with single arms work beautifully. All these pieces are just great Bajaespuma!

1959 Lady Kenmore Push Button washer FOR SALE!

Yeah, who knew there were compact fluorescent germicidal lamps! LOL (I think that was the purpose with Sears, as opposed to Maytag's "tub light"). One wonders if "Sun-e-Day" lamps come in this configuration as well. ;-) Another interesting point is the lint filter is in the lower corner...

Anyone remember the Jello Whip N Chill?

Jello 123 Well then, here's a timely entry from an MSN slideshow of discontinued products. Jell-O 1-2-3 debuted in 1969, offering consumers a new wrinkle in homemade desserts. Jell-O gelatin itself was nothing new by that time; the product had been concocted in 1897. But what made this version...

    Service Contract

Oh yes, definitely looks nice. I've thought if I needed new, I'd consider the LG French Door, which finally now comes in a 30" width. But, they don't get good reliability reports either according to Epinions, so I'm not sure. Whirlpool seemed to be the only thing that got any sort of consistent...

Really cool Maytag dryer in Bremerton, WA

Too bad their price is so high, they are both nice finds. In fact, another member had just offered the matching washer in another thread.

Think of the dates one could garner with a set of those lavender bathroom fixtures...

    1970 Eatons (Canada) Summer Sale

Thanks for sharing these great pictures! Those are handsome blenders, and very powerful. I had a bike very similar to that one. I don't think I've ever had a date, in front of an open refrigerator (LOL) but that might be a new idea for sometime. Hopefully Toggle can find a set of Toggleswitch...

    Nice Range on Sale

Well said Toggle. Many of us can turn out wonderful meals on a $400 Kenmore, whilst others struggle to boil water with much grander "toys".

    Mama Rabbit In Mourning Vigil

Mike I wanted to say the same thing but was afraid I'd get flamed by cat people. So I'm happy to hear it directly from a cat person. It's clearly for their own good to stay inside as well as other creature's. I feel very sad about the rabbits and the poor mom.

Anyone remember the Jello Whip N Chill?

We had one of those shakers. I think it only ever got used once for its intended purpose, but my mom used it for all sorts of other things.

    Service Contract

Glad to hear that all worked out! How do you like this fridge compared to the Amana I think you had previously?

    Jello Recipe

Thanks Joe! I've not seen a Farberware with that type of spout before, very nice! Frigilux, we do a variation of "Marlene's Salad" Love the stuff!! We mix the pudding with buttermilk, uses crushed pineapple (oops, I did say variation LOL), mandarin oranges, cool whip and bananas. Our recipe...

    As promised...More Stuff!!!

Thanks for sharing more photos of your delightful collection! I like how the light shines through your Pyrex items. I have a smaller one of the percolators and the double boiler that "live" on the back two burners of the stove. I get a lot of compliments on them from people when they see them.

    Jello Recipe

Chuffle, what brand of percolator is that closest to the molds? I like your phone too! Danemodsandy, don't think me too weird please, but that actually sounds kind of good! But, I loved a lot of those oddball Jello salad combinations that raised eyebrows particularly in later years.
