I think some TOL Indesit/Hotpoint dishwashers are made in China too. Incidentally the Candy and Indesit compact dishwashers are also Chinese origin too.

BBC Micros I have fond memories of the BBC Micro. We had them in the nursery I went to. They (and the Acorn Archimedes and RISC PCs) were pretty ubiquitous right until high school. I got an unused Acorn A4000 a couple of years ago and still sometimes get it out to play RailPro

I stopped using Ariel for the exact same reasons (the water in our area is borderline soft/medium). The amount of foam Ariel generated was unreal. I've never had any suds issues with Persil and it cleans just as good, if not better.

I've switched to usually washing at 40 instead of 30 and there is a noticeable difference as the clothes seem to smell "fresher" then what they did, I also don't need to use the Intensive Wash button as much either.

My dad is a chef with all the qualifications and whatnot but his cooking was pretty dire. All I can remember of his "meals" were bland lamb or pork chops and nothing much else. He also had a tendency to burn things as well as burn, cut and graze his arms all in one go too.
