Vintage Fairy washing up liquid Bottles

It's going to be in supermarkets from next week, apparently. ;-)

Vintage Fairy washing up liquid Bottles

I read that they were made available to retailers yesterday and that they've made 3 months supply, unless demand is high, then they'll be gone sooner! They should be appearing very soon then... P&G should re-run the classic Nanette Newman TV ads again for the anniversary! LOL!

There are many many many many Matics but only one Finish QuantuMatic

I read the FAQ section on finish.co.uk and it all reads a bit like they have released a product they haven't quite perfected, just to be first to market with it. They haven't been able to include any glass protection ingredients yet, which is really poor for such a premium product. It hasn't...

There are many many many many Matics but only one Finish QuantuMatic

I saw them yesterday and they just looked huge! I'll be sticking to tablets I think.

    Finish goes Phosphate-Free

So what do you get as a substitute ingredient for phosphates then? Seeing as phosphates are a major ingredient in UK dishwasher detergent, how can they be substituted? Here's a photo of the ingredients for UK Finish Quantum tablets, how does it compare to the US version?

    Ariel Actilift

Well I'm yet to try mine, still have a couple of bottles of the "old" stuff to get through. I can't honestly see how they can improve the cleaning performance though, they'd kind of nailed it already! The Lenor sheets I saw were just Summer Breeze, which I think was also the name of the Bounce...

    Ariel Actilift

I can't spot any difference in the scent of the Gel. Oh, I also noticed today that Bounce dryer sheets have now been rebranded as Lenor.

    Ariel Actilift

Finally I managed to find some Excel Gel with Actilift in my local Tesco last night. I'll give it a whirl when I've got something mucky enough to test it properly. They didn't have any powder, liquitab or tablet versions of it in yet.

    New Persil Product...

I noticed the UK has fallen under this spell. We now have new "Vanish - Extra Hygiene" stain remover, which also claims to kill 99.9% of all known lifeforms. It's currently on introductory price offer in Waitrose if anyone's interested. ;-)

    Ariel Actilift

I think it's more a case of Tesco hiking the price up to over £8 to be honest. They had Fairy Gel at a similar price, then cut it to around £7. Morrisons still sell the large bottles of Excel Gel for £6.79, so someone somewhere is taking the piss! I stocked up at Sainsbury's whilst they are £4...

Another dishwasher detergent thread. Or, why do you use what you use?

I'm working my way through Finish Quantum tabs at the moment, bought purely for the fact they had 50% extra free and came in free storage tins. (I'm a sucker for a free tin!) I got the regular and lemon varieties - they do a really good job in general but struggle with the occasional thing, as...

    New Persil Product...

In my opinion, they're just playing into the current obsession people seem to have with obliterating every single trace of bacteria possible, rather than saying "our products don't work properly at low temperatures". Honestly, I've never heard of people getting ill because their clothes were...

    Ariel Actilift

aquarius1984 My local Tesco only had the lavender variety of Flash with Febreze, needless to say it stayed there - yuck! I like the smell of the Febreze Cotton Fresh air freshener - it smells very similar to Downy April Fresh to me, so not surprised to see you say this smells like fabric...

    Ariel Actilift

It probably won't appear until most of the old stock has been sold. Give it a week or so. I noticed the other day that Bold has been given a bit of a re-vamp too, although it looks like it's just a slightly different logo and new packaging - no product change. There were a few new packs on...

Costco in Australia & US laundry detergents

Interesting, I wonder if P&G is using Costco as a testing gr Costco UK also sell lots of US products that have never become available anywhere else in the country. I've bought Clorox products from there in the past for example, and they aren't otherwise sold in the UK. US brands often have...

New products at the laundry aisle

New Lenor We have those 2 new Lenors in the UK also - the "Maya" one is called "Gold Orchid" and "Fashion Fuchsia" is called "Struck By Fuchsia" over here. :)

    bold 2in1 gel

Very impressed too. I've tried the Ruby Jasmine one also. I also tried the Ariel Non-Bio Almond Milk & Honey Excel Gel, which was on introductory offer in Morrisons for £1.98 (I haven't seen it for sale anywhere else). It also cleans excellently despite being non-bio and smells great too...
