    Torchwood fans?

If the 4th upset you, you'd best not watch the 5th!

Those nets could do with a wash...(polyester on washday)

Wash them in whatever you like and then try some Dr Beckmann net curtain whitener. You can get it in Sainsbury's. I think you just soak them in it for a bit, then line dry - it's just a whitener, so you need to wash them in detergent first.

New UK Persil tablets - about time!

I tried some of the new Surf at the weekend. I got the liquid and it's underwhelming to say the least. Cleaning isn't bad, but the new scents are nothing special at all. No lasting fragrance is left once dried either. It seems like they've followed Bold's lead of claiming a fragrance is...

    Ariel Gel 'burns'

    They've changed them now - it's 667ml instead! LOL!

    Ariel Gel 'burns'

Or... they left the bottle lying around and the child picked it up and got some on itself. Cue the parents looking for compensation. It sounds a bit fishy that it "didn't dissolve". It's only a thick liquid, and when used properly there isn't a trace left.

    TIDE totalcare renewing rain

Yes, I got some of this from the US last year and the Renewing Rain scent is vile. It borders on urine! It does clean well, and works great in a front loader without many suds, it's just the smell that's bad.

New UK Persil tablets - about time!

I think liquid damage/corrosion to the spider is due to people over-dosing the stuff and not doing maintenance washes. I use colour liquid for colours and bio powder for whites and for the maintenance wash, and it keeps everything in order! On the new products, I do think it's a shame that...

New UK Persil tablets - about time!

Oh and I notice they've pulled the P&G trick of reducing pack sizes/wash loads on both these new Persil & Surf ranges. Less product for more money. *tuts*

New UK Persil tablets - about time!

The Surf looks lush! When's it out? I think the thing of having Persil NB tabs as in-drawer and the others in the net is going to be a bit confusing, people might assume all would be the same, so if they used NB and then went to use Bio or Colour they'd still chuck them in the drawer...same...

New UK Persil tablets - about time!

More Persil non-bios, honestly what is the point? I take it being "naturals" (lol) they are more expensive than the regular stuff? Surf Vanilla and Black Orchid sounds nice, but I always find they never smell of anything once clothes are dried, which sort of defeats the object. I'l be giving...

New UK Persil tablets - about time!

Not seen them yet - is the packaging new? Are they more crumbly now like P&G tablets? As for the 15ºC claim, their Small & Mighty TV ad now makes the same claim, but they haven't altered the formula, hmmm....

We bought yours now have you bought ours? Hello UK....

Oh yes! So far I've tried the HE versions of: Tide, Tide with Downy, Tide Total Care (and some non-HE Tide powder just for the hell of it.) Gain Cheer All Small & Mighty And softeners: Downy (various ones) Snuggle (various ones) I like all the ones I've tried, and all perform excellently...

Cable TV: Do people actually watch this stuff?

The UK... ...is just as bad! Channels that show repeats of old BBC & ITV shows ENDLESSLY. Channels that show old US programming. Channels that can only afford to show cheap, bad US stuff, that people in the US don't even bother watching. God/"Give your money to us - it goes to God and he'll...

    New M&S Detergent

It's probably McBride, they make pretty much all the own label stuff, including M&S.

    New M&S Detergent

I saw it the other day. The packaging is a total rip-off at first glance, I'm surprised they didn't go the whole hog and call it Excel(lent) Gel.

    Baked Beans

I didn't know that. :( Heinz Beans are probably their most famous product in the UK, probably even more so than their ketchup. Other brands' beans are just poor imitations over here! I always assumed their beans would be just as popular in the US.

    Baked Beans

Bush's Beans?! Don't you have Heinz Beans in the US? They are the ONLY baked beans worth eating! :-) Heinz Bean'z' on toast = heaven!

    wish list from Germany

Quote: "Now my relatives were AMAZED that we bathed every day, had hot water available 24/7 and believed ALL food was either canned or frozen. Big difference from "All food is AVALABLE fresh, canned or frozen" Back in 1980 when they came to visit, they were amazed at clothes dryers...

    Happy 100th Birthday........ Persil...!!!!

I visited Port Sunlight a couple of years ago. It's like stepping back in time and the sight of the huge factory next to the picturesque little village is quite bizarre! The Lady Lever art gallery is well worth a visit too. I noticed the 100 years packs in Sainsbury's. It would have been nice...
