    Sensitive fabric conditioners

I love... Fairys “Original” softener, and besides Lenor “spring awakening” (which of course is not “sensitive”) it really is the best softener to combine with Fairy detergent. I never cared for the Lenor one (was there a “Cotton flower” and a “Pure Cotton” or were they the same?), anyway the...

    Bold laundry detergent?!!

Ariel... Is one of P&Gs billion dollar brands (of which they only have 20). The would never give that name to someone else. P&G also likes to tout that it's the worlds number 1 selling detergent (don’t know if true), but in nearly every market Ariel appears appears (save USA) it is a top line...

Is ALDI phasing out house brands?

Completely agree The U.K. market is now “ready” for compacts, for years there has been marketing on concentrate products, not just detergents. But just staying on detergents, with liquids becoming ever more concentrate, gels and pods and fabric softeners also being marketed as a concentrate...

Is ALDI phasing out house brands?

Could be.. Why and with that I will definitely agree, they are very hard to dissolve, they do eventually, but the wash cycle is most of the way through, and yes they do get stuck in the door. Makes me wonder, obviously these gems were to allow a dry laundry product experience in a “compact”...

Is ALDI phasing out house brands?

Oops Bit unfair that as will impact a customer going off reviews to choose. Just goes to show, manufacturers just don’t care what you know, as long as it is their product you hand your money over for.

Is ALDI phasing out house brands?

Tis Strange what they decide to do and where to be. The part of Scotland my family are in (Dumfriesshire) say that Tesco is now the stronghold there, and I believe Inverness is totally held by them, it’s them or nothing up there.

Laundry Folk Lore & General Supersititions

Only... Sort of laundry superstition I follow (and am not sure if it is true, but I’m sure I did read it somwhere) is that I won’t do laundry on New Years Day (i’m usually out anyway visiting family etc). I probably wouldn’t do laundry Christmas Day either, but again I’m always at family...

Is ALDI phasing out house brands?

I’m in Bury Greater Manchester. Check the link. Ive checked pretty much all supermarkets around, and there is about the same amount within that 10 mile for all the other chains. Check yours, you’d be shocked just how many there are around you...

    Tesco Bio Powder

Can believe It with Tesco, they probably did. I find Asda tend to get a lot of new products first surprisingly, especially P&G ones (Suppose because Asda (of course Walmart) and PG are both US Companies). Doesn’t make them carry more US products though, which I would imagine wouldn’t be that...

    Tesco Bio Powder

They.. Certainly do, I also think they haven’t quite got over that spat with Unilever about 18 months ago as they always seem to be reluctant to stock the newer Persil products (from recall they have never stocked the Persil duo caps (the liquid and powder in one), they were also very slow on...

    Bold laundry detergent?!!

Just read... Your post @Laundress, yes here in the U.K. Bold (and Surf) are designed and marketed mostly on the basis of scent. As mentioned above, between Bold and Surf, a consumer would have choice of at least 20 different scents. Add on to this the various scent booster beads (unstoppble...

Is ALDI phasing out house brands?

Aldi.. Here in the U.K. are worse than Tesco for amount of stores. In a 10 mile radius of my house, there is 30 Aldi stores. Yes, you read that right 3 and 0! I don’t shop at Aldi, and will only go in every now and again for a browse, so unsure if they’re phasing out named house brands as I...

    Tesco Bio Powder

That’s odd. My Tesco has the Bio, but I did notice the tablets don’t have the “Best Buy” on them, so don’t know if they’re the same formulation/manufacturer? But yes, you’d think they’d make use of the free publicity of having an own line Best Buy Powder product (something that only Lidl can...

    Bold laundry detergent?!!

Bold... And their names are hilarious, some of the ones we have had over the years.... Crushed Silk and Jasmine anyone?, White Diamond and Lotus flower? Or how about Hibiscus and Lime? Does anyone know what crushed silk or white diamonds smell of? If you do, let me know lol. Or how about...

    Bold laundry detergent?!!

It’s not... The exact product we have in U.K. One, our powders don’t come with scoops any more and haven’t done properly for about 10 years, (you have to send away for them - we’ll either phone up or order online) and they look different to that one in the picture, it’s more of a “cup” type...

How are you lot finding Ariel Purclean?

On Tesco Online, of course with the specific stores I would imagine it would be dependant on deliveries and current stock holding, but would surprised it wouldn’t be in at least 1 Tesco nearby as of course there is millions of them. http://https//www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/search?query=purclean

How are you lot finding Ariel Purclean?

... I have some, but haven’t used it yet. Smells lovely though, I have the “Summer Fresh” one (unsure if there is more than 1 scent), but the PurClean I have is specifically named as opposed to just Original etc. I didn’t even mean to buy it, as the stash has had Australian Omo Powder and US...
