That is correct... Westinghouse sold their small appliance division to Hamilton Beach around that time.  In fact, I think you can still buy a Hamilton Beach roaster that looks like a Westinghouse roaster but more cheaply made.

Well here's the review... I promised to tell of our Bosch dishwasher and here it is:  2 months ago I bought the Bosch 100 Series Premium.  That was the lowest priced model with a third rack and the handle with the controls on the edge.  There are lower priced ones but I think the "scoop" handle...

But do you really need it? Heavy Duty for a Westinghouse is just hype.

They should have called the dishwasher SeaWolf.... Back in the 50 General Electric was involved in a nuclear submarine that was called Seawolf.  They had nothing to do with the Nautilus which was a Westinghouse project.

I have noticed that too with Sears... But somehow I always knew that mostly Whirlpool made Kenmore products.  I do remember though seeing a Whirlpool dishwasher years ago and it did not look at all like a Kenmore, this is when they were made by D&M.   It is like I always read that NASA made...

3 phase? But how can a Bosch dishwasher have a 3 phase motor if residential electric service is only single phase? By they way, our Bosch makes a low rumbling sound, it is quiet so I really don't notice any change in running. I will post a review of our Bosch this weekend.

You are right about GE washers... I guess Jack did not know how even to turn on a washing machine.

I guess GE doesn't make motors anymore... Jack Welch got to that one too. Did he just shut the division down or sell to someone else? Have you taken the motor out of the machine and connected power to it and does it go at all? Maybe get another Maytag washer that is otherwise broken and...

I wonder if PermaTuf was a GE plastic, GE was first with plastic tubs.

I thought the worst was Samsung But if I bought Frigidaire I would only buy the low priced top freezer model.

Maybe it was worse... The executives of Maytag worked for GE with Jack Welch or went to Jack's own business college.

If you read any recent issue of theirs, Bosch dishwashers are the top 10 along with Bosch made Thermador and the IKEA (made by Bosch?). Consumer reports also says that people they survey Do Not Like GE machines, with a 1 out of 5 in Owner Satisfaction. Some people here say the Bosch is not...

Looks like a Tragic Chef to me!
