@adam Where did you see the leak coming from? Was it down the shaft of the impeller or around the edge of the body??

I think its the nut where the straw is ! Move the pump back and forth and see where it pivots thats usually the bolt that holds it on.

Drive was brilliant I remember the advert they dropped a few drops in a dish with oily water in and the detergent made the oil go to the side of the dish... Was it back in the 70's when it first came out??

@adam aussie vac Yes thats the thing I think the Hertz maybe slightly different but doubt it will make a huge amount of difference.

Transformer I suggest you look into those yellow square ones the construction workers use as it would be man enough to cope with any surge required to turn the drum. Sorry Keith I forget the actual name of them :)
