QuickDrive
It really isn't anything new.
Pulsator designs are decades old. Dyson had the ContraRotator - though that used a gear box on top of the 2 motors.
This machine only uses 2 brushless motors.
I had a machine like this for a few months.
The machine - on cycles where QuickDrive actually did a lot - basically just heated to temp and then the wash cycle was over.
The QuickDrive plate only increased agitation to save time - which really only worked well on medium soil anyway.
It contrarotates to the tumble direction during wash, and slowly rotates during spin basically only as decoration.
A lot of time was saved with the SuperSpeed system - a spray rinse system not unlike LGs TurboWash.
You could get 3 rinses worth of rinse efficiency in the time it usually takes for 1 1/2 rinses round about - 3 spray rinses, 2 deep rinses with reduced rinse time.
In the US, on the US sized washers, there is no QuickDrive, only SuperSpeed.
Wasn't terribly impressed.
It does work and is quite smart about operation.
During load sensing it uses the wash plate to basically detect how much drag is on the wash plate.
That resulted in 3 or 4 load sizes sensed in the Cotton cycles IIRC.
A small load below 1/2 took the shortest time actually being quite short.
Half loads actually were fast as well - basically only taking a little longer to heat.
Everything above half loads took basically just as long as without QuickDrive - at high load volumes the drag on the wash plate dramatically reduces wash plate action since the laundry could get stuck around the wash plate leading to certain parts of the load getting over agitated, so it just doesn't use the wash plate much.
SuperSpeed is stil used but it still does 3 somewhat longer rinses.
So, it really only did much on partial loads.
But it doesn't really do much for stains - you need chemical action for those, which needs time.
You couldn't use the Intensive option on the Cottons cycle since that would take eternity triggering a low temp eco cycle.
Adding the bubble soak would give you a 30min soak during heating with temp maintained washing afterwards - getting you back to normal cycle times just with significantly increased energy usage.
Meaning it really only was useful for light to medium soil small ish loads.
And you payed 600€+ for even the entry line machine - I got it from an Amazon warehouse deal for half that.
It does work, it's quite a well designed machine, just that it wasn't much use in my usage profile.
