1967 Hamilton 800 washer and dryer

Had these for quite some time, however seemed to have time to take photos. With the recent snow, I had time. Please excuse my crappy old camera. I do not take many photos or videos anymore. This set was from my friend Kenny (Goatfarmer) a few years back. This set was seldom, if ever used. The...

    Vintage Lloyd's console stereo

While there are some console stereos that are worth some money, this is not one of them. Lloyds were cheaply built late consoles that used very low-quality components. Even the cabinets were mostly plastic and particle board. I am an antique dealer, and I do sell Magnavox and Zenith consoles...

@ Kenny, it is what it is, and ya know it's the truth.... Just the same, it is cold outside, and it is time to see "what's up" :-) @ Weed30, that looks like a very nice Caloric. I would scoop that one up in a hurry!

Really want a vintage gas range but afraid....

Fear of natural gas. BTW, I do not know why the pilot light would go out, but if it does, one will notice the smell from the small amount of gas that the pilot uses.

Really want a vintage gas range but afraid....

My gas range has been in constant use in my home since 1937. I did have to send the oven thermostat to Texas, to be rebuilt once, about $100.00 The oven is a bit small, but one gets used to it, and learns how to deal with it. I love it, and as long as I am in this house (42 years and counting)...

the dues of being a washer collector

I have a friend that thought my washer/dryer collection was a bit over the top. Until his sewer pipe broke under the street. It was close to two weeks before he could use his washer and dryer again, and he called me and asked if he could bring his and his partners laundry over. He was able to...

    Whirlpool Transmissions Oil Question

I have always used 90 weight gear oil, and have never had any problems. My basement gets down to 50 degrees in the winter, no sluggishness, no problem. Machines were rebuilt over 15 years ago, and still no leaks, no problems.

    Maytag A806 turn over

Laundry is clean after a washing like this. The tub has room to move the laundry around for a thorough cleaning and rinsing. In solid tub Frigidaire the up and down motion simply balls the laundry up, and tumbles it tied up in a ball. Laundry simply will not get clean clean like that, and the...

    Kenmore 64

Happy Holiday's to Gordon and everyone else here! I too am turned off by the one or two that leave snarky comments, every single time they post. And that is exactly the reason I do not post as often as I used to.

My new 1963 Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII set

FSP Whirlpool part, that has been obsolete for quite awhile now. I would suggest checking on eBay from time to time, or simply make one yourself. As long as the tube seals against the tub, and is the same approximate height and diameter, it should work.

Any information on vintage fridge defrosters ??

I use a 1948 GE combo in my kitchen, and I have a 1949 Kelvinator in the basement. I simply boil a large pan of water, (pan is heavy aluminum, which holds the heat) and place it in the freezer and shut the door. It defrosts in no time. The combo only needs a defrost twice a year, but the...
