Thank you, Robert. It was Jeff_Adelphi's Yahoo club that you were referring to, amIright? I am glad for all of the people with smarts to bring us together and keep us going and I am so glad that I called ALCO Appliance in January, 1981, looking for a Frigidaire Unimatic washer and met John and Jeff Lefever. The world has not been the same since. At the time, I lived 45 minutes around the Beltway from them and by October of 1981 I lived 4.5 miles away from them in a townhouse in Greenbelt that John helped me find. He said it had a cast concrete first floor so it would not collapse when we filled it with appliances. You saw the appliances and materials that we loaned to Ellen Lupton of the Cooper Hewitt Museum for her 1993 exhibit Mechanical Brides and found that there were others who loved the appliances that you loved. I think you told us that you almost got in trouble for trying to lift the lid on the turquoise Frigidaire Custom Imperial washer to get a glimpse of the Three Ring Agitator inside. I don't remember if you found John and me from the Acknowledgements page in the book Mechanical Brides that accompanied the show at the Cooper Hewitt or if you got our names from the tags beside our contributions, but you eventually found us. What fun we have had. Thank you again for helping to create an international disorganization.
