I think that is their sneaky way of energy savings. The stand alone top loaders do the same thing. I tell my customers to leave the lid up while filling to avoid that.

Water level switch kicked in if the outer tub was filled with water to prevent an overflow. Had one for awhile. I believe this was the first one piece stack unit.

Top filter dryer is the only dryer I recommend to customers that have the room for them. Design has not changed since the mid 60's. Weak spot is the plastic stem timer.Wider drum causes better tumbling. If your Kenmore was a 27 inch dryer with the lint screen in the door, you will notice...

That is the motor start relay.

The dryer has been replaced b4 I could get a serial #. I purchased a timer, as i thought that was the problem. The new timer was installed, but did not fix the problem. Also, the new timer does not go all the way around when turned counterclockwise. In order to replace the timer under warranty...

Need to find some serial numbers for this model. The new timer is defective. Any suggestions? Model # is MEDC200XW1.

Just hook one black to one solenoid, and one white to the other solenoid. Tape off the other two separetly. The dual solenoid valves I have are for Maytag dishwashers. Sorry.

I may have a double valve. I will check. I also have the single solenoid valve as well.
