Solid tub speed queens still in use!

Solid tub SQ parts availability (?) Are parts still available for solid tub SQ machines?  I have a feeling that the general answer is "NOS" only.  Maybe the owner of that laundromat has a stash of spares...

Solid tub speed queens still in use!

Vintage machines in commercial duty Very cool laundromat!  I wonder how much trouble it is to keep those vintage SQ solid tub machines as well as the Big Boy front loaders running.  Are parts available for them?  Just curious...   Andrew S.

1949 ADMIRAL S3-49 stove ($300) and 1950's Philco Picture Tube Vintage Muntz TV Television - $125

Muntz TV My dad has talked about a Muntz TV that they had back in Philadelphia.  It hung around for a long time but I think that was because it eventually became an occasional use set.  I'll have to ask him if it gave my grandparents a lot of trouble.  The "roundie" RCA color console that my...

    Yay! Acquired an Ultra Wash!

Great dishwasher That will be a great performing dishwasher.  My parents had that exact model from 1992 until about 2009 when they replaced it with a new Whirlpool.  I wish that I had saved that Kenmore.  At the time it had a noisy pump and would probably have been an easy fix.

1965 Frigidaire Imperial Washer and Dryer.

Beautiful set! Great find!  Wasn't '65 about the end of the line for turquoise?

Uncle Buns? I don't think I want to try that kind - I'll bet it is brown rice!

    Ohio--70's Sears Dryer, ancient washer

Interesting dryer I don't recall that console design.  What year would that be? My guess is somewhere between '65 and '72 - too bad the ID tag picture is too small.  It is the newer style mechanism that I believe was adopted for '65 or '66 (and is still used today) as well as the early large...

RBC Nice is still in business - might be worth a call In reply #60 above, I posted the link to RBC Nice who I believe you said made the original bearing.  It might be worth contacting them to see if they can supply a replacement.   Good luck getting this straightened out - I hope you will be...

    Speed Queen mixing valve specs

Hot water restrictor? I wonder if the valve simply has a restrictor on the hot side that could be removed or drilled out?

Hot point washer and dryer - $150 (Cold springs/reno)

Nice Hotpoint set That looks like the mid '80s set that friends of ours had - super large drum dryer (round opening) and extra large capacity Rim-flo washer with unique two-piece agitator.  You removed the outer part of the agitator for delicate items if memory serves.

    Free Sears Kenmore gas dryer

63 - 65(?) Kenmore 70 Looks like a 63 - 65(?) Kenmore model 70 dryer. My aunt and uncle had the electric version of this dryer from 1965 to at least the mid '80s. The washer was replaced in the early '80s. I always liked this set. They had lighted controls and the washer made the usual...
