Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

the maytag washer....

it looks like it has 3 buttons on the right hand side, of the control knob, not the 2 "REGULAR" & "GENTLE". i am thinking it has the 3rd "PERMANENT PRESS" button there too. which i think would make this a "single-speed" washer. if i am learning/catching on to, the differences correctly??

would that still make it an A606??? or do the 3 buttons on the right hand side of the control knob make it an A408 or A406??
i still don't know all the model numbers yet....
:o/

beekeyknee....

i think you are right about the dates too because of that blue color on the bottom of the control panel.

but i have a question if anyone can answer (& just for learning's sake here):
i notice that the yellow dryer only has the timer control knob. and the avocado dryer has the timer control knob and also, what looks like 4 buttons on the right hand side. what are the buttons??? i know someone can easily answer & "learn" me on this one!!!

;o)

Christina,

Sorry. I didn't notice your question before. The button are low temp, regular temp, normal dryness and extra dryness. The buttons are only on the SOH dryers. The HOH models didn't have buttons.

Washer:

Model is an A407 from the button array. The three speed buttons are Regular, Gentle, and Permanent Press. This has a one speed motor so the Gentle speed is not a slower agitation, but an intermittent regular one with pauses in between.

brian....

thank you for the explanation of the buttons on the "SOH" dryers. i've seen the maytag dryers with no buttons and then with 2 buttons and like the one in this thread with 4 buttons. but i could never figure out what the buttons would be for???

thanks again brian for the description & explanation.

another question, which might sound dumb but.....
why "normal dryness" and "extra dryness"??? i thought "dry" was "dry"??
would "normal dryness" be clothes that are still kinda damp & ready to be ironed???

and would you be able to use "low temp" and "extra dryness"?? or would those 2 button combinations not be able to be used together??
