    Ariel laundry cleanser

I have tried Napsian which contains peracetic acid and found that is better than the rinses as you add it to the wash and not the last rinse cycle. Though i feel these add on's are just a gimmick and something else to be flushed down the drain. I gave up using branded laundry detergents and use...

    Ecozone Towel Softener

Just wondered if anyone had tried Ecozone Towel Softener and found it any good? If not what do you find is the best method for achieving soft fluffy towels if you don't have a tumble dryer? I am aware you should avoid fabric conditioner as it affects absorbency.

Clarity of rinse water of detergents

Rinsing Is Skip another name for Persil? Looks like a pretty good detergent for rinsing out of clothes judging from the photos!

When did enzymes appear in dishwasher detergents?

Dishwasher detergent I can remember Glist dishwasher detergents and used to buy from Savers though can't buy it anymore as far as i am aware. Found it very good for stain removal. I have since been using Fairy dishwasher tablets and will not use anything else now. Found them the best and always...

What laundry products do you use and why?

Hi Chris, Yeah i know about the powder but not bothered about that for whites or underwear etc. Just some of my clothes say to use a detergent free of brightening agents. Have looked at the Splosh liquid and can't see any mention of OBA's in the liquid. I shall message them on Twitter.

What laundry products do you use and why?

I use Splosh, Ecozone or Tesco detergents. @aquacycle do you prefer Persil to Ariel? I always thought Ariel was more popular in the UK at least. The last Persil detergent i used was the Powergems which cleaned well i found. Didn't like the fragrance much though.

    Finish Dishwasher Powder

Yeah i agree. I think all the technology goes into Finish Quantum gel tablets currently. The Finish brand is not as good as it used to be so won't be buying any of the products.

    Finish Dishwasher Powder

I've swapped to Fairy tablets and find them better. Wont buy Finish again.

    Finish Dishwasher Powder

This post is mainly aimed at people in the UK. Has anyone noticed that items are not clean from coming out the dishwasher? E.g. i took some plates out and they look just as dirty as they went in. Salt and rinse aid settings are fine. I stopped using the tablets as wasn't impressed so switched...

    Detergent Capsules and plastic

Hello, Does anyone know if the concentrated laundry capsules such as Persil 'Powercaps' contain plastic? Just got me thinking after watching the 'War on Plastic' on BBC One.

    Kitchenaid mixers

I am pretty sure Mart Berry wouldn't use rubbish appliances so if Kitchenaid are good for her then I'm sure they must be reliable which is reassuring. I did look at food processors but one doesn't normally make cakes in one of those do they.

    Kitchenaid mixers

My Kenwood chef is a A701A model 450 watts.

    Kitchenaid mixers

@vacbear58 Thanks very much for the links. Have contacted for Kenwood repair centre and will await to hear from them. My mixer is very ancient but if it can be repaired will be better than forking out over £280 for a new one. Have attached a picture of my model.

    Kitchenaid mixers

My over 30 years old made in UK Kenwood mixer packed up 2 weeks ago and wondered if anyone had the newer more modern Kenwood chef models? How are they in comparison to the older models? It's either a Kenwood or Kitchenaid I am going to buy.

    Splosh Detergent

I'll have to try it out once I've used up the ecozone.

    Splosh Detergent

I will have to try it. Pretty happy with Ecozone and Tesco products mind you but always interested in trying new things.

    Splosh Detergent

Has anyone tried Splosh detergent and how do they rate it compared to Ariel for example? Have thought about trying it but currently happy with Astonish and Ecozone.

    Vintage Pifco Fairy Lights

@tina i thought as much because they used to sell petal shaded lights. I also found out a few years ago that Noma made Homebase Christmas lights in 1999/2000 and they actually told me via an email i sent regarding how identical the Homebase and Noma branded ones looked. They basically said it...
