    1978 Simpson 122 Automatic video

Hi guys,   I picked up this 1978 Simpson 122 automatic last weekend: being sold off from a deceased estate from a holiday home so used sparingly.   This is the single speed model: 65 OPM 180 degree agitation arc, 625 RPM spin speed.   In very good working order for its age.   Cheers...

Quick vids: 1972 Simpson '85' washer

Hi guys,   I've added a couple of quick vids of the 1972 Simpson '85' automatic washer agitating and spin-draining. You'll note the 2 minute spray rinse.   The machine operates very well and is pretty quiet for its age.   Cheers Leon   <iframe src="" width="560" height="315"...

    Miele W1926 washer & T1526 dryer I just bought

Looking good Kevin Nice set Kevin: I have a 1980's set in storage. I don't know about you, but I found the washer to be HEAVY! A lot heavier than a lot of other front loader's. Cheers Leon

3 new machines: 2 Simpson's and 1 GALA twin tub

Well, after getting a slap on the wrist and backside for not telling David I bought these machines, all 3 have finally arrived.   First up: A 1970's Simpson '85' Four Speed Automatic, which arrived from Tasmania: had been sitting underneath a house unused for 20 years. Needs a new pump but...

Moving Stuff Around and Downsizing a Bit

Looks great Robert Looks great Robert. I do hope to get to see them in the flesh when we come back to US at some stage.   Plans are currently afoot for my collection to be re-housed to a more permanent location, considering I'm looking to move in with David early next year.   Cheers Leon

New vid: Speed Queen AWNE92 full cycle

Happy with the machine... Hi Chet,   Yes, very happy with the machine. I do understand however that neutral drain's can be boring to watch...so all good.   Yes, this is a 120V US machine that was converted by John L and Jason when I attended the convention last August. I bought the 240V...

New vid: Speed Queen AWNE92 full cycle

Hi everyone,   I got around to recording a full load in the Speed Queen.   If you're wondering what the noises are in the background, I was doing a whites load in the F&P and I sneezed a couple of times!   Enjoy.   Cheers Leon

Quick vids: Speed Queen AWNE92 TL

Hey Steve Hey Steve, I'm almost 100% certain your SQs will spin-drain not neutral drain. According to the parts manual I ordered all the parts from, the electric drain pump and extra wiring harness required are for Australian spec machines only. Cheers Leon

Quick vids: Speed Queen AWNE92 TL

Hi Bob Hi Bob,   No, I didn't modify the fill flume at all: this is pretty much the same machine as in the US, but with the fitment of the electric drain pump for the neutral drain.   As to why it neutral drains: it 'supposed' to assist in getting rid of lint better in the wash process...

Quick vids: Speed Queen AWNE92 TL

Hi guys,   Story about this machine: this is the SQ TL I bought from John L while in the USA last year. It was US voltage which has been converted using 240V export parts which John and Jason graciously did for me before it was loaded onto the container.   But, I neglected to buy the 240V...
