The new speed queens: how bad are they?

I would have bought one of the 2017 and older models but I wouldn't have this thing they're making now in my house.

    Frigidaire 1-18 Dryer Felt Seal

Thanks Guys For the help.  I bought what I needed from Rich's link and I had read the tech talk about laying the dryer on it's front.  I've worked on them sitting up before and it's difficult.  I also learned from the tech talk about loosening the one side of the bottom roller to make getting...

    Frigidaire 1-18 Dryer Felt Seal

Thank you sfh074 for the link but this particular machine is the GM Frigidaire 1-18 and the seal that is for sale there fits the 1980 and above after White Consolidated bought out GM.

    Frigidaire 1-18 Dryer Felt Seal

Could anyone here identify what is used as a replacement for the felt seal on 1-18 dryers?  I seem to remember some mention of it here before and something about a Maytag seal as a suitable replacement?  I have searched our archives with no help to be found.   Thanks, Joe

I don't use mayo much unless I'm making egg salad but there ain't but one kind crossing the threshold into this southern boy's house, and that would be Dukes!

Expert Poll: best classic washer ever?

As the owner of two of them in that age range I'm going to say the 1-18.  I just wish they had made one with the Rapidry 1010 rpm like in the solid tub models.

New SQ Video By Eugene(LorainFurniture) ***Important***

So, they can't handle some constructive criticism about their products.  This highly suggests they know this is not as good as the former.  Screw them and their new fangled pieces of crap.  I wouldn't have that damn thing in my house!

1977 Frigidaire 1-18 "thumper" washer is home now...

That's a lovely Frigidiare.  That control panel color doesn't come around often.  I'm fortunate to have the same panel on my white '76 Custom.  I think it's a very svelte design.

Gauging Interest in a Parts Reproduction service.

Those pulsators are an original equipment replacement part from Frigidaire that I purchased in a parts lot from Ebay. I sold most of them to fellow club members but kept a few in case I needed them. I have them with the "D" hole for the regular Frigidaire's and the large round hole for the...

Gauging Interest in a Parts Reproduction service.

I'd certainly be interested in this too.  The possibilities are great!  I'd like to see the oil and water bellows reproduced for the pre 1-18 Frigidaire line.  They were all the same part from Unimatic up through the Solid Stub Rollermatic and you don't see those for sale as often as you used...

Help, clutch adjust tool for 1968 Frigidaire "N" model

The tool isn't exclusive to that year but for all Sure Spin Rapidry Clutches.  I never had luck finding one and had a fabricator make one for me using a disassembled clutch plus pictures of the tool.  He used a socket that I bought at Sears and made the "fingers" onto the end of it.  You'll be...
