Roger is the greatest!
:o)

I'm not real familiar with the details of Frigidaire 1-18 washers, but from what everyone has said, this control panel is even something nobody seems to be familiar with either?

I am definitely enjoying this Frigidaire. When I showed it to moms, she did comment on how big the tub is. And I even showed her how even if you use less than 1/4 of a cap of PERSIL in the Frigidaire, it seems to be plenty of soap for a load of clothes. So it's a good way of saving on the clothes soap! I swear I felt like a Frigidaire salesperson trying to make a sale by pointing out the positives of having a Frigidaire washer!
LOL...
But she hasn't tried using it yet: but then again, she never did use any of the Maytags that I've gotten...
:o/

Thank you again Jetcone/Jon.

That's a lovely Frigidiare.  That control panel color doesn't come around often.  I'm fortunate to have the same panel on my white '76 Custom.  I think it's a very svelte design.

Joelippard:

Your Frigidaire has the same kind of control panel as mine! That is so cool!
:o)

I didn't pay attention to the control panel, because I thought they all had the same look, but after seeing it, I really like the bronze color. And after seeing the picture of your control panel, I think I see the perfect spot to stick a 60's hippie flower power sticker on the control panel!
:oD

Thanks for sharing that picture of your 1976 Frigidaire 1-18. It looks great!

FRIGIDAIRE JET-CONE WASHER.

Hi - all the way from Land's End, UK. Where can I find one of these Frigidaire Thumpers please? Nothing on ebay at all over here.

My e-mail is: [email protected]

I should be very grateful if someone can point me to a old store of these amusing machines - I only need one! What I really like is the decent quantity of water unlike the modern front-loaders which seem to be completely averse to the substance!

Does anyone know if many were imported into Britain?

Many thanks and best wishes,

Kenneth.

Well, we know that GM Rollermatics were imported into Britain not so long ago because we saw them in "My Beautiful Laundrette". Wouldn't have beem a stretch to have had containers of 1-18's shipped to you all.  They're very good machines. Do you have the ability to convert the voltage and amperage?
