Is it too early for a Christmas tree / decorations thread?

Here it is! My tree looks pretty much the same each year.  I prefer this traditional motif.  One special thing is that hidden amongst the normal ornaments in varied locations are what I refer to at the "specialty" ornaments.  These are ornaments that were given to me by family members or...

Is it too early for a Christmas tree / decorations thread?

Nothing is visible here at my house yet, the fall wreath is still out.  However, I have made plans and scheduled the household decorating.  I have taken a few lights, etc. out in the basement to test them.  I've been listening to some holiday music on XM in the car and I've bought a few gifts.

in an electric oven on "bake" mode, does only the LOWER heating rod activate, or both lower/upper??

Yes, I had an older WCI built Magic Chef and while it was definitely WCI crap it did bake well because it would cycle the upper element.  Now I have a newer Whirlpool that's about 3 years old and I hate the way it bakes with only the lower element.  Many times I have to cycle the broil element...

A Ford in every driveway -

A lovely machine!  I had the earlier version for a few years -- a '61.  It washed well and spun ok but I always felt the need to re spin them in a Frigidaire.

All ready have turned the heat on

Bah Humbug!  That bitter air can stay the hell away from here.  I despise having to wear long pants and bundlesome clothing.  The only thing I like about winter is Christmas!  My best friend can't wait for the cold air to arrive, he says I need to move to shady acres!

    Philco washer help needed!

Philco parts are very rare, I'm actually surprised to see they used plastic in this particular area.  It may be that you have to contract a fabricator to recreate this part for you, I'd suggest a stronger material if you go that route.

How to move a Frigidaire 1-18?

You're best served on those cone chips by smoothing them out with a fine toothed file.  If you could see that huge set of cones from the reverse side it is full of passages that I call Jets which is what makes that such a powerful agitator.

    Turquoisedude joins 'Club 1140'

In my experience Frigidaires do not like wooden floors or lightly loaded tubs.  Also when you get up to those kinds of RPM's you're going to experience some vibrations, both of my Rapidry Frigidaires do that but they don't walk.  You can seriously pack that Unimatic full and it'll still roll...

    Nice big old P-7

Wifey will wish she had kept it after she gets ahold of these modern stoves!

    Finally...The stove search is over...

Well this is what I'm cooking on, we can only go uphill from here!  I darn near burned a pan of biscuits in that thing this evening because it heats so unevenly.

    Food Corporations Note: America Needs....

This is very good!  I've not had a microwave frozen meal in many years.  I've always had my suspicions about heating up that plastic film that covers it, you can smell that stuff get hot with the food.  No telling what kind of chemicals it has in it.
