Time to liquidate some small appliances

I have to make some room as I’ve accumulated too much stuff, so I figured I’d offer them for sale here. If you’re interested in something please make an offer. First up I have this Mary Proctor Starflite percolator. I bought this NIB and used it maybe 5 times total. It comes with its box.

Furnace question for Easterners/Cold Country members~

That house is spectacular, it’s always nice seeing someone who spent a lifetime carefully preserving their home, Just curious where this home is located along the PA/OH border? This may be fairly close to me.

    How Is Everyone Keeping Warm?

It’s been in the teens for highs here with lows at near 0 and looks to stay there through next weekend. Got cold enough to fire up the big old Englander wood/Coal stove. It keeps the house warmer and it keeps the natural gas 1995 ComfortMaker enviroplus90 furnace from coming on much.

JCPenney washer and gas dryer in PGH

Saw an ad for this JCPenney set this weekend on the Facebook marketplace. Hopefully someone can save them. I'd love to have the washer, as it matches my JCPenney dryer, just don't have the availability or means this week to go get them. I believe they are in Wilkinsburg

It's That Time Of Year Again! Who's Cooking And What ?

Oh cabbage rolls aren't a holiday food here either, I make them Several times a year, it's just tradition at this point having them On thanksgiving. As for grandma serving them it was what grandpap liked, same with the Chicken Paprikash. Those were things served all year long in her kitchen, as...

It's my wife and I's turn to host Thanksgiving and Christmas...

I also can't stand the smell of turkey, nor do I eat it. Growing up my paternal grandfather hated turkey, so when grandma would have thanksgiving dinner it was ALWAYS stuffed cabbage with mashed potatoes, green beans, and often chicken paprikash over grated noodles. Then when mom would have...

    JCPenney

I used to shop st JCPenney more than anywhere else, but after the one at The Washington Mall closed I went less due to the distance. However for the last year I now REFUSE to shop there due to their B.S. So-called return policy, and the useless department manager who refused to let me talk to...

    Fast food/fast casual restaurants

I don't really do fast food, but every other Saturday at work we get Chick Fil A for breakfast, and occasionally order lunch there. I also like Penn Station Subs. Their bread is very tasty, plenty of meat, and a great Italian vinegarette to top it off.

    Old cars vs New cars

Vintagedreams, Your 94 Caddy is the younger sister to my 93 Fleetwood Brougham. I like your burgandy one better than my silver one. Mine has the I'm assuming uncommon for the time heated front seats. I'm up to 93,000 miles now. Have an oil leak that needs addressed, and a blower motor with very...

Is a more expensive crockpot (slow cooker) worth it?

I had a newer Rival Crock Pot that I hated. I much prefer my 70s and 80s one. I did pick up an All Clad slow cooker at their factory sale, it is better than other new ones. Actually I have a Brand New 80s Crock Pot I'm looking to sell if you're interested, as I see you're in Pittsburgh too

    Pyrex Storage Bowls

Last week I ventured to The Pyrex website to look for kids to go on my Butterfly Gold bowl set. While I was there I noticed they have several patterned 4 cup bowls with lids. Best part was they had limited edition bowls in vintage patterns. Naturally I bought all the vintage patterns they had...
