this thread is dead, I know it this thread is dead, I know it. The rubbing sound now only happens when its wet. Think it is the drum rubbing on the boot a little

The rubbing is intermittent. comes only once in a while It stops after a shaky spin or a high spin. I think it is just tiny bits of debris falling on the shaft and then it being dissolved or falling off and being pumped out on spin.

Put back together but rubbing sound now. I put calk in the very center of the spider arm. now I think a piece broke off and is caught between the shaft and tub seal. I'm worried that this might chew up the new seal and I'll have to get another one and another spider. or will this stop overtime...

The original spider's seal collar is damaged. UGH! Well that's another $100 into this for me. John This is what I was talking about for a broken seam. If I just put the machine back together then the collar will just chew up the new seal. I'll update when the new one comes in I guess
