Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Put back together but rubbing sound now.

I put calk in the very center of the spider arm. now I think a piece broke off and is caught between the shaft and tub seal. I'm worried that this might chew up the new seal and I'll have to get another one and another spider. or will this stop overtime or will the small piece dry up into dust or will the small piece dissolve?

Agiflow,

If you have hard water your best bet would be to secure some real STPP (Sodium TriPolyPhosphate) and add an tablespoon or more as needed to soften the water.

The slick feeling of the water comes from alkalinity. Alkalinity helps to deal with fatty soils, but is not absolutely required for cleaning. For example, detergents for silks and wools are neutral, not alkaline. STPP will however make the water slick but it's milder than the usual alkalinity agent, Sodium carbonate, in most powders.

More Projects and Got it all working properly

REVIVE THE THREAD! I found a close match gas dryer. I swapped the Drum and Added plastic under the spider to slow corrosion like on the Maytag Neptune FL washer

I installed the older Domed drum to allow more area for water to splash around the spider to keep it clean. I put plastic sheeting from a defective original Neptune board and pump. It is holding up well. I never use COLD except for stuffed animals and always select the highest spin speed allowed on any given cycle and I use the sanitize cycle once in a while when I do whites. LCB is not good for the septic system and My dad is not too fond of me using the Insinkerator Evolution Compact to add more organic matter to speed up digestion and produce more of the good bacteria that it needs. I need to save up and get the Evolution septic assist if I need to use LCB whenever possible.
