Out with a Whirlpool, in with a Zanussi Jetsystem

All I can say Nick is to go with your heart. I know I can drive myself mad trying to decide what to get. Of course nothing is guaranteed, you may get a Friday night machine that’s crap but then that can happen to any machine, even Miele! I haven’t had any balancing or noise problems yet but then...

Out with a Whirlpool, in with a Zanussi Jetsystem

Hi all and thanks for your comments again and to AEG03 for explain the reasons for certain things. The machine certainly is quiet, which is just what I wanted for my open plan kitchen in my flat. Hi Nick, your questions I’ll will see what I can do. The problem is that I’m not always at the flat...

Out with a Whirlpool, in with a Zanussi Jetsystem

Well last night after a dinner party, I did a smallish, Superquick Cotton wash. I selected temp 60, spin 900 and extra rinse. It was fascinating as it acted a bit like an old fashioned Bendix/Zanussi. The program lasted 1hr 5mins and the first 30mins was the wash. The rhythms are long with very...

Out with a Whirlpool, in with a Zanussi Jetsystem

Hi all and thanks for all your comments! Great to see some old faces again (Jon and Nick) haven't spoken to you in ages. I must admit there was a Bosch on in Allders so I could see the program times and I was very impressed. It did sway me but I have never owned a new Zanni and wanted a...

Out with a Whirlpool, in with a Zanussi Jetsystem

Hi Darren, good to hear from you! I must find out when you are free so we can have a natter. Yes it does have the extra rinse option. I have used, Superquick Cottons, Superquick synthetics + extra rinse and finally Jetsystem Cotton. I want to try Superquick Cottons + extra rinse next time as I...

Out with a Whirlpool, in with a Zanussi Jetsystem

Here is the fascia. Unfortunately it is quite blurry. The kitchen also looks rather beaten up in the first pic because I had a bit of a nightmare screwing the taps as the gap is quite small. I have done some vids of both machines which I will post later. Rob

Out with a Whirlpool, in with a Zanussi Jetsystem

The Whirlpool The Whirlpool was fine. It had a 1400 long spin and washed and rinsed well. I just got a little bored with it. It is also quite loud so night time washing was out of the question. My brother now has it! Can anyone date it?

Out with a Whirlpool, in with a Zanussi Jetsystem

Hello all Haven’t been around much but I thought I would give you a low down on this machine. I have recently acquired a new Zanussi Jetsystem 1600 ZWF16581W. It was delivered yesterday and I had it up and running yesterday evening. It replaces a Whirlpool 1400 (not sure of age) which was left...

    Ominous rumblings

Hi Darren That really does sound awful, not what you would expect from such a new machine. My WD640 never sounded like that. Someone definately needs to look at it. Hopefully you'll get shot of it soon. Rob

    Ominous rumblings

Hi Darren, you want to get this baby fixed soon before it's a real right off, what have you been doing to it tut, tut LOL! At least if it is fixed you should be able to sell it and get a good price with it being so young. Use the guarentee whilst it is free. Take care Rob x

New toy an Electrolux Visi Dishwasher

Now not getting it! Hi all thanks for your comments. I have some good news and bad news The bad news is that after moving my washer to the bathroom, I realised it was too cramped and of course I could barely see anything moving around the machine. This means I will now not get a dishwasher and...

New toy an Electrolux Visi Dishwasher

Hi all I have just decided to buy this Electrolux dishwasher for my flat. They don't seem to be making these anymore so I thought I would get it while I could. It won't get heavy use but should be fun to use. I managed to get it new for £249. Will update when it arrives. Rob

My New Washer!!!!! - Miele W3922WPS!

Hello Richard I am really pleased for you, that's a superb machine. I absolute love the Miele styling. I really wish I could afford one of these for my flat but I think it really can't be justified. What are the program lengths like? Hopefully it will give you many happy years of great...

New Jetsystem WD by Zanussi - Advice

What's the difference between AEG and Zanussi Hi guys thanks for your comments. At lunchtime I was looking at the AEG machines. Luckily they were switched on and I could play with them. Quite fun but a bit complicated and obviously more expensive. What's the difference between the two...

New Jetsystem WD by Zanussi - Advice

Thanks for your messages guys, that is really helpful. I get the impression that Zanussi is a good mid range value for money machine. This one has an invertor motor so should be nice and quiet. Whether I get it or not depends on our holiday. If the holiday is on I won't be able to afford it...

    My first vintage washer

I remember in the 70s our kitchen had a breakfast bar. I used to sit on a stool and help with the washing if my mum wasn't in a hurry. I remember the spin dryer was quite noisy. I think she got rid of it around 81 when she bought a top loader Philips. I was very miffed as I really wanted her to...
