Let them stay till the funk rolls away

This reminds me of the customers I deal with on a daily basis only with cell phone issues. They buy a brand new phone, don't bother to get insurance with it, break it a month later, then expect a free replacement or refund. Um.....NO! It's called take care of your stuff!

    Most disappointing wash ever

Speaking of front load washers. A few weeks ago I went to a laundromat that is equipped with IPSO front loaders. I planned to wash some sheets a blanket and some whites I needed. I already planned on using the front loaders for the sheets and blanket, but I was going to use the one of 2 Maytag...

Picked up a new washer tonight

Actually it would be early to mid 80's. My Mom has what would be the matching dryer to that washer. It has the same exact panel style and it was about 83 or 85 when she got it. They still made belt drives well into the 80's.

Detergent clogged my lint filter, I'm confused..

It's just not dissolving. Take a small amount and put it in very hot water, even try some boiling water and stir it around. If you still see the speckles even in boiling water, then you'll know what the problem is. You may have to grind it down even finer to make sure it completely dissolves...

Stuff Your Mother Never Made You

I grew up in a family of cooks. My Mom is Mexican so of course we had plenty of Mexican dishes through out the month, and with my Dad being okie white, we also had an equal share of southern cooking. Even with all the good cooking in our house, we always had a pantry full of Stove Top, Rice a...

    Pork chops....what's your preferred method?

Alr I do add cayenne to the mix when I fry chicken. I'll use it with pork chops next time! AWF it is grilling season already! I can honestly say I've never grilled pork chops. I'll try that!

    Pork chops....what's your preferred method?

I cook them uncovered as well. I tried using cornmeal instead of flour since a friend of mine has celiac disease. After I tried it I let her know so she could enjoy pork chops with a crispy outside. But we've always fried fish with it. Makes a great coating. The chops are always tender and...

    Pork chops....what's your preferred method?

I season up some corn meal with garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper. Then dip the chops in an egg wash then fry them in a cast iron pan with shortening.
