SQ TC5000WN MT MVWP575GW or other option? FL SQ?

Go with the Speed Queen.  I've owned both and had regrets about buying the Maytag almost from the moment it was installed.  Maybe I ended up with a lemon, but it was very repair prone and out-of-service way too often.  I replaced with a transmission style Speed Queen and never regretted it.

    Speaking of supply chain issues...

The Great Value brand has a light and pleasant odor, which quickly disappears after the door is open.

Fellow enthusiasts, please elaborate on this 2 year old Maytag dishwasher

I had a Maytag based on that wash system.  I wasn't very happy with it.  The spray arms didn't seem to reach the corners very well and I could usually count on remaining residue from baked on items.

Scent I haven't noticed a scent.  I started a load at lunch. I'll check to see when I get home!

Frito Pies? Where on earth did you find Fritos?  They've been non-existent here in the Texas Panhandle for several weeks!

    Speaking of supply chain issues...

I went to my local Walmart a couple of days ago to purchase Cascade Platinum among other things.  When I got to that aisle, they were out of almost all dishwasher detergent!  I ended up purchasing some Great Value Advanced Dishwasher Pacs.  I've thrown some pretty tough challenges at it, and I...

    Supply Chain Shock!

I had a rental car for about ten days.  But once we settled, I had three days to return it.  Given the current difficulty finding vehicles, they should lengthen that to maybe four days!  LOL!    That film is amazing!  It's interesting that so many options were available in those days that it...

    Supply Chain Shock!

I haven't paid much attention to supply chain issues until a couple of months ago when a lady blew through a stop sign going over 30 miles an hour and t-boned my 2 1/2 year old Honda Accord on the driver's side.  The car poor didn't even have 20,000 miles on it!  Thank God for airbags!  They...

Fisher and Paykel Topload dryer (Post images below)

That design actually makes a lot of sense, especially for older people and those with back problems.

I guess it beats hand washing...

I don't think I saw a single pair of gloves while handling all those sharp edges.  Hands must be pretty calloused!

    Pre-war automatics

My Dad grew up in a house with no electricity or running water.  They didn't get electricity until he graduated from high school in 1953.  Even a gas powered Maytag wringer would have been a huge blessing, but my Grandmother used a good old fashioned washtub for many years after they got...

the dues of being a washer collector

To me, it's the same as someone who restores vintage cars.  For me, it's preserving Americana and a fascination with the design and engineering of things...just like a vintage car collector.

Will water that hot deactivate the enzymes in the detergent?  I know bleach will.
