    I Can't Stand The Rain!

Never seen things this bad! Just looked at the "7 Day Forecast" and it's full of 103's and 104's...not good!

Heads up you Revere Ware freaks

We've got a selection of different Revere Ware goodies from most all the different production stages, and definitely love the older pans the best. We've got two of the "process patent" pans, including a tiny one we use for rice, works perfectly every time. Our favorite thing, though, is the set...

    Torchwood fans?

Not sure if there's any way to explain without "spoiling"... They've destroyed the team. They've destroyed the Hub. There's nothing left of "Torchwood" at all. Too bleak, too dark...I know the Brits are fond of killing off characters, but the characters are what got us involved to begin with...

    Torchwood fans?

Loved seasons 1 & 2. This has been a nightmare to watch. They've destroyed the show, and if it *does* come back for a fourth season, we won't be watching. "RTD" needs a good swift kick...

    Kelvy Food A Rama

"What a Wonderful..." heehee...it's those pizzicato strings at the end that really do it to ya!

    Kelvy Food A Rama

Lordy...I *WANT* this! No, I *NEED* this! Our li'l red '49 Westinghouse would get jealous...I think this beastie might be the only thing I'd ever consider replacing it with. Betcha it'd look good in RED! Found this nifty commercial for it...what a theme song!:

    What's This Error

Right after I posted to this thread about getting the error message, I went back and tried it one more time, and it went through that time. That's definitely the text of the last try I made at it.

    Let's see some music vids

The Incomparable Boswell Sisters from 1932 Here's New Orleans' own Connie, Martha and Vet, The Boswell Sisters, doing their "good luck tune"...filmed for the movie "The Big Broadcast" in 1932. I love these girls! "Yowzah!"

    What's This Error

Howdy Robert, Was posting to the "Music video" thread on this forum and got the same error message as above after hitting "post". Tried to post a second time, and got the "trying to stop a duplicate post" error message, saying I'd posted in the last 30 seconds. Nothing came through that I could...

    Cool Old Cars

Oh, man...thanks for these! I actually had an old "beater" of a 1960 Bus that had the same "double-doors-on-both-sides" arrangement. Those were NOT common...only seen one other in all my years. That one is just jaw-droppin'! And that Fury...oh, those FINS...many thanks!

    Had to let everyone go

...and just gotta say...that machine looks like a Deep-Sea "Diving Bell"!!! Half expect to see ol' Jacques Cousteau to be peekin' out that front window!

    Had to let everyone go

"If you'd like to see some photos, I can start anot Yes, please! I've just been discussing what to do with my '63 Beetle with some friends. She's been official Yard Art since '97...somebody "who understands vintage VeeDubs" needs to take her. But, yes...some groovy pics would be, well...groovy!

    Had to let everyone go

This year and last year have been BRUTAL. That's really the only word for it. We desperately need rain, and we've had "August in June" two years in a row with no relief. A lot of our trees are giving up and dying. I remember we all had "I survived the Heat Wave of 1980" T-shirts back...

    The flight of Palin------

If they're gonna "look for a governor" to run for pres, then PLEASE let 'em by-pass "Guv'ner Goodhair"...the worst thing to ever happen to the state of Texas! What an absolute trainwreck that would be... It's at times like these I really miss Ann Richards.

    Littering

Agreed...despicable practice by despicable people. Here's one for y'all: Here, they take all the "community service" types and some of the jail inmates, put 'em in a big white van with a flatbed trailer (emblazoned with "CAUTION: LITTER PICKUP" signs) behind it, and take 'em around to pick up...

    RIP Billy Mays

Can't say I'll miss his screaming at all. But the one that REALLY grates on my nerves is that awful "ShamWOW" guy...he's got the vibe of a total sleazebag. Just seein' that dude makes my skin crawl!

    Canning?...who does it anymore?

Frigilux, will do. Should have it in a day or two. When we decided to get a pressure cooker, we researched which one to get, and the All American was just *it* as far as mechanical design. No gasket to worry about is the main thing. As far as the size goes, we wanted something that would handle...

    Canning?...who does it anymore?

We're waiting on our latest FleaBay purchase to get here, namely a 21.5 quart "All-American" pressure cooker/canner...the no-gasket clamp-down kind, made proudly in Wisconsin! We are about to dive into canning big-time due to the bounty of heirloom tomatoes we have growing. Can't wait to reach...

    Ridged Grill Pan

We've found the Lodge plain cast iron version of this at Thrift Town a few years back and love it! Excellent for bison burgers on the quick and chicken breasts. If something gets stuck on, simply pour about two cups of HOT water in and bring it to a slow simmer while you're having dinner. When...
