To the OP, look for the MVWB766FW model at an independent appliance store. It's the same washer but comes with a full 5 year parts & labor warranty. We've sold a few of these models & so far the reviews I've heard from customers are positive.
I posted this over in the pay side but didn't get any response. So, I am posting this over here now.

What I have here is a 1 owner 1966 LK electric electronic dryer in copper. We just removed this last week from the original owners. I believe that they said it had no heat. They did not want us to look at it and just wanted a newer dryer. It displays very well. I do not want to scrap this...
Just for clarity's sake, I was referring to the craigslist ad for the Catalyst machines. I was just going over this thread again, and I realized the craigslist text wasn't on the thread, just on the ad.
works well but the dryer timer will sometimes activate or (b
Sounds like the electronic control is going out on the dryer. We've seen MULTIPLE failures of these controls on the washers & dryers. Buyer beware.
I miss using the Westy roasters. I think I still have two stashed in the attic. The cords are shot and I just haven't gotten around to replacing them. You can't beat a turkey out of one of these roasters.
As for taters for that many people, I'd definitely make them ahead of time and...
I believe the dual-action agitator needs a little more water in it to not damage your clothing. The Maytag and Kenmore models like this have the HE powerwash agitator (or agipeller as it is sometimes referred to).
The washer is working correctly. Your model will fill to a minimum of 13" of h2o on auto sense and 15" on deep fill. The Kenmore & Maytag version of this washer will fill to a minimum 4-8" on auto & 15" on deep fill.
The sewer smell is pretty common on a lot of machines, but seems more noticeable on Atlantis & Performa washers. It seems a lot of gack can get built up in the tub-to-pump hose & the drain hose. The tub tops seem to get really filthy as well. We sold a lot of these machines new & rehabbed &...
Refrigerators all Mexico -- NOT true. Amana, IA makes the bottom mount refrigs. They also do freezers in Ottawa, Oh.
Maytag Epic -- has been out of production for some time & was made in Germany. Now the Maxima is in the US.
I just went and read the "offending" post and in a way I can see his point, but on the other hand, this is absolutely one of the best sites for information & actual machine/parts sharing. I was a member of an antique stove forum (antique stove meaning 1700's to the 1920's cast iron). Barely...
I have seen hidden damage from a few different manufacturers that had to have come from the factory. For instance, top mount refrig with a dent on the door UNDER the corner foam piece that was not damaged in any way possible. It had to be on there and then the person at the factory put the...
I've seen quite a few factory-fresh appliances with damage that were boxed up and shipped out. I've had damaged Frigidaire built Crosley refrigerators with scratches BEHIND the sterofoam panels. I've had WP built Maytags come in that way. It's not very often, but it does happen. Most of the...
