    Let's see YOUR Vintage Refrigerator!

Mine is A.... 1985 Kenmore Kitchen-Mate! Some of you may remember my post here on AW when I found her. It has been a pleasure to have!! This was Sears's Top of the line fridge in 1985! It was the last to have the Porcelain/Plus interior! It also features Moisture Miser, Crisper and Humidrawer,2...

    Range Picture thread

RE-Oliger about the Conveince outlets. In addition to the reply by FanOfFans about needing extra outlets in a kitchen, which just for the record, I do agree with. I just also wanted to ad that, convenience outlets were also handy when mashing potatoes, and you just want to do so in the pan...

    Range Picture thread

Well..... Allow me to present my 1968 Kelvinator Tri-Leval! I got it late last year, I just wanted an upgrade. It has a built in Rotisserie, and several timers, two convenience outlets, surface light, Speed Heat burner, and the Pan.O.Matic burner! Which is just Kelvinatior's version of GE's...

Furnace at an estate sale this morning

That Reminds me of... Of when I walked through the Estate Sale at my house in 2011, and was introduced to Big Bertha for the first time, but certainly not the last! Just as Hans was saying, the machine its self is a Winchester, Capital that is original to my house, built in 1903. At the time...

Hoover Twin tub belt other than Manufacturers

I need a set for my... Hoover too! Mine had perishable, stretchy round belts on it. One for wash action, and the other I am assuming for the pump and spin.

    1959 Zenith HiFi stereo

I would deffeintly say 1958, or 1959. Yes, that arm was called the Cobramatic. Introduced in 1946 (at that time their changers were 78 only), it was equipped with a special radionic cartridge. Unlike any of the crystal cartridges of the time, it was routed with its own tube, and some how used...

Best available detergent for Hobart Kitchenaid Dishwasher?

I 3rd that for Cascade powder! I use it, and have also found it to be the best. However...I also use to use the Finish powder, and liked that very much, but it seems to have disappeared.....????? Has the Finish Powder been discontinued? If so, that just puts Cascade back to #1 choice.

Got a box of Tide powder detergent...

Got a box of Tide powder detergent...

So here is my personal opnion....... I had been reading this thread, and come payday I strolled down the laundry isle of Dillons (Kroger). I looked at the Tide, and decided to get a small box of original powder, just to try. Here are my thoughts. I paid $14 and change for that small box, I...

    WP mixer

My comment was just my opnion... That's all. I grew up in the food industry, my late father was a Executive Chef. I ate at $100.00 a plate restaurants for free growing up. Just how i'm minded when it comes to food, and preparation.

    WP mixer

Those two video reviews that were posted..... I don't care for her and her husbands reviews at all. They don't know anything about cooking methods, or terms etc, and they are just generally unversed in how they do things. I realize that not everyone is a professional, and they are the general...

any old... Vacuum cleaner manuals??? I would possibly be interested.

What modern appliances are based on old designs?

As far as the 3 vacuum cleaner companies you mentioned.... They may look like they are good quality, but even still they have been cheapened. Eureka actually still makes one F&G upright the model 1934B, it is listed as their "Light weight" upright. Metal Royals are no longer even made...

What modern appliances are based on old designs?

I had that blasted B&D Classic Iron... I got it when I moved out on my own in 2009, and it ended up directly in my trashcan in 2011! I guess that is a fair life expectancy for an appliance of that quality. But I hated it!!! I mostly use my irons for sewing, pressing seams and such. For that...

    surf classic white

I adore Surf.... Been using it for almost 10 years, and never had trouble with it. Gets things clean the first time, and leaves a nice, light unobtrusive sent. I rather like the tropical variety, since the sent is not terribly strong, its not nauseating like you might expect. I encourage you to...

    FREE Console stereo

thats the nice thing about VM... For the most part all their changers were the same. I will say on the higher end models at this period on time, like on my much larger '73 Zenith D945DE, the changer does have some higher end features, like a cue lever, and a removable center post for manual...

    FREE Console stereo

yes...Zenith... Made between 1970, and 1974. It has a VM (The Voice Of Music) made record changer, and the famous Micro Touch 2G arm, that only tracks at 2 grams! This model would have closer to the cheaper end of the line. But it was one of the last quality Zenith consoles before they...

    Vacuum find

Wow! good find! People sometimes throw good vacuums away for the silliest reasons. Obviously in this instance its not age, but most of the time it is. I have found machines like that in the trash for no better reason BUT the bag was full, or the belt needed changed, so the people in question...

What vacuum cleaner do you have?

Spacepig... Your blue Compact is a model C80 from 1980. I was the last Compact branded machine before the Tri-Star was introduced. Then ironically, your red Tri-Star is the first Tri-Star from 1981. I have one too, should have had the Eureka Powehead, then it was reissued with the red, metal PN...
