yes...Zenith...
Made between 1970, and 1974. It has a VM (The Voice Of Music) made record changer, and the famous Micro Touch 2G arm, that only tracks at 2 grams! This model would have closer to the cheaper end of the line. But it was one of the last quality Zenith consoles before they cheapened their cabinets and components. Well worth the price tag! I would get it if it showed up in my area for free.

says so right on the VoM-made changer. We have a '62 VoM 868 console, the changer is not dissimilar, and still works excellently. Interesting little console there.

For the most part all their changers were the same. I will say on the higher end models at this period on time, like on my much larger '73 Zenith D945DE, the changer does have some higher end features, like a cue lever, and a removable center post for manual use. But the mechanism is still the same...Shame such a good company went under just a few years later.

VM made EXCELLENT lower priced TT's-changers.They also made basic RR tape transports.Those were made for various tape machine builders-you didn't see the name VM on the deck.Sad VM went under.

in this console in that according to the above ad they used an air-suspension design, which had been around since Edgar Villchur and AR popularized it in the mid-'50s, yet consoles from the '50s to '70s and beyond almost invariably used open back speaker compartments, not even ported designs. Odd as either would have markedly improved particularly the bass performance at not a lot of cost. One exception to this was Stromberg-Carlson who employed weird speaker enclosures made of a sort of waxy impregnated sawdust/fiberboard similar to Homasote, which were mounted inside the speaker-enclosure part of the cabinet on heavy Fiberglas padding to isolate them. Very effective and a step beyond what even high-end consoles like Fisher had.
