    ZANUSSI COMPUTAWASH ON EBAY

I think this design came out in 1985 and went to about 1990 So it could go in either forum really Matt

    Hotpoint First Editions

I can never really decide on my opinion of Hotpoint I never thought much of our WM52, extremely rattly and cheap sounding on spin. The wash and rinse results were pretty average, even for the CCC rating they got. I think the older machines were better, but the wash was just too short and the...

    Hotpoint First Editions

What do the old ones look like? There aren't any. The first one was the one in the first picture above. Matt

    Chinese GE dishwashers! what?

To me it makes no difference where a product is made All I care about is the quality and durability of the product, as well as it's performance. If a Miele were made in China or wherever, using the same parts and being manufactured in the same way, it would be just as good as the German made...

    Comfort Naturals Fabric Conditioner

Personally I won't go near comfort anymore The clothes are no softner than when using no softner I've found with the current formulations, I find the scents leave a lot to be desired too lol. Matt

    My Fridgemore Stopped Working

Does it have a brush motor? Sounds like it could just be worn brushes. Fairly easy to fix. Matt

    Ariston Magherita

That particular one is just an Indesit/Hotpoint I think Therefore nothing but trouble. These seem to be extremely common machines around here, a number of my friends have them and they're always going wrong as you would expect! The older margherita's of the 80's/90's were much better, pretty...

    MIELE W3922 WPS FOR SALE

hehe thats another thing when we were washing for 6 with the Ecologic it was winter and we had no seperate dryer. Thank god for the huge clothes airer! :D Matt

    MIELE W3922 WPS FOR SALE

Fair enough I rekon the Bosch holds more like 8kg than 10 though, seems like the standard size american machine, those usually seem to be about 8kg. Only thing I'll say is that we washed for a family of 6 for a while with the Ecologic and never had problems getting the washing done, mind you...

    MIELE W3922 WPS FOR SALE

In all honesty You'll be very hard pushed to find a machine with a drum as big as your Miele or that will be able to wash as much. It may be rated for 6kg but that is the true capacity unlike these Hoover visions which claim to wash "8 or 9kg" but actually probably hold slightly less than the...

Plastic washer paddles in drums.. WHY?

Never had a problem with them here either My mum's boss had an early WMA Hotpoint where the paddles kept breaking off but I've heard that was a design fault on those particular machines. I wash shoes and all sorts in many machines with plastic paddles and have never had a single problem. Matt

UK Hotpoint - the other vintage acquisitions

I do believe Hotpoint dishwashers were made by Bosch in Germany. How they got away with claiming they were made in Britain is beyond me. Hoover did the same with Zanussi IIRC That dishwasher does look just like my friend's early 90s Bosch dishwasher. I love it! :D Matt

    Indesit History

Hi Phil My childhood washer was an Indesit from 1989, not too sure of the model number but it was 800rpm with a variable temperature dial, half load and 800/400 options. From what I remember the programming was very similar to Hotpoints of the 80s, short cycles with high water levels (1/4 up...

    Hotpoint washer Pics,Videos and Info

late WM's and in particular the WMA's Were really ugly brutes in my opinion! I think the 95 and early WM series were the best lookers :). Matt

    Assistance on Whites

They don't use nearly enough water From what I've seen the use the same amount as our machines do. The problem seems to be the lack of an internal heater and wash cycles that are far too short. They would need to use more water to wash well in the really short cycles they have, but why do...

    Hotpoint washer Pics,Videos and Info

By any chance are you a big fan of Hoover Turbopowers? Hehe :) Haven't used one in years, but I've heard they're really good. My Electrolux Contour is at my new house now, I'll get pic of the place and the appliances (Zanussi FJS1425W) as soon as I can. Matt

    Indesit Prime

Saw this in Currys today It's certainly ugly! I don't see why they couldn't just put those features in the normal cabinet. I highly doubt they're any better made than the normal Indesits. Matt

    Electrolux washers

I wonder why the wash times are so quick. I wonder this on US machines too, 20mins of wash tumbling is not a Heavy Duty cycle, thats a quick wash lol. I don't care what people say ,a load of filthy dirty whites will not be clean after 20minutes of washing in any machine of any kind. It makes...

    Servis washers

Urgh!!! Horrendous machines, thank God they've stopped selling them! Matt

    Member POLL - Towels

Softner isn't needed if a washer rinses properly It is when line drying, towels go stiff or scratchy with line drying no matter how well rinsed they are from experience, as I don't have a dryer and don't wish to use a dryer, softner is the only option to get them comfortably soft :) Matt
