Looks in very nice condition. Other pictures would be appreciated. The porcelain coat inside your DW seems thicker than the one on my 22 series from early '90s.

GE check valve assembly Just saw your link Stevet, that a pretty good solution.

Exactly what was my idea. Don't know if a regular 1/2" check valve will have enough pressure to open. I also just found this (link below) but it's not cheap enough. I probably can get a donor machine for 75$ with plenty of other parts. Problem is a DW doesn't fit into my car...

But since it's a passive part, don't you think there are other dishwashers that use that kind of external check valve on the drain that I could fit on mine?

Ok I've found the GE part# (WD1X1486) but it's the flapper only. I need the complete KA check valve assembly. I'm wondering if I can fit another check valve there.

I see a lot of Kitchenaid series 23 DW for sale around and I'm wondering which part would fit on my 22. I know the racks are about the same. What about the check valve (rp2813: I haven't found the GE part number yet), heater, fill valve, and wash arm? Also what other NLA parts should I look for...

rack quality I think they're the same rack we found on the 21 or 22 series, aren't they Stevet? The upper rack seems to rust prematurely on the sides (after 20 years or so it's not that bad).

check valve Probably not you're right. Looking in the parts manual I just realize that mine doesn't have the check valve. Does it need it absolutely?

upper rack doesn't go in easily I find also the the upper rack needs to be pushed hard to enter the DW. Maybe it's because I'm used to my old one. Rack was smooth. I'll see another 22 next weekend for spare parts, I will "test" the upper rack.
