    Franklin-WCI Transmission & Tub Brakes

Yes James! Yes, I did have one with a very fast tub brake. I had forgotten about that machine which unfortunately I no longer have. But I kept souvenirs like the agitator and control panel.

You asked for a Horizontal-Axis Top Load washer?

I would love to have a BOL Niagara! As one who uses a wringer washer often, I like the hands on approach and the limitless rinses/ water levels one could have with this machine. I'm glad it will have a water pump as I have no floor drain in my basement.

Launderess versus Miele W1070 The Continuing Saga

Dear L Once you get the timer knob off there will be screws underneath that will facilitate the removal of the whole timer. Then it's just a matter of plug and play. Good luck and the new timer you have should solve your problems.

A211 washer: Anyone know of a mod to add a second rinse cycle?

What I do sometimes is after the spray rinse, I stop the machine and reset it to the beginning for a 4 minute normal cycle using warm wash cold rinse. So in effect that gives a 4 minute warm rinse followed by another 2 minute cold rinse automatically.

My summer project - now complete - the 1957 Westinghouse L110 Laundromat

Paul I admire your tenacity at bringing this beauty back to life! I may have missed it, but where did you source your bearings? Did you just bring the old one and have them match it or did you know a part #? Awesome job!

    Speed Queen Combo

I'd like to share a fantastic find with you. 1962 Speed Queen combo! I can't take any credit for finding this, that goes to my friend James (114jwh) who alerted me to a local Craigslist ad. It was advertised as non-functional which was correct. This this was a beast to move at 380 lbs. As...
