    LG 11KG

Amazing machine! We have an LG steam F1479FDS5 washing machine. Its slightly smaller at 9kg with a 69l drum but its still pretty big and performs very well. The steam function really does make a difference on heavily stained items like tea towels etc. The medic rinse is amazing, feels weird...

    initial comments on Asko W6884eco

They look to be well engineered sturdy machines. Programming looks very flexible which is something I always like in washing machines. The drum volume is 60litres, which is okay I guess. Considering my LG is rated at 69litres drum volume which they state as a 9kg load capacity machine. Seeing...

    Unbalanced problem on Zanussi

Hey Sorry to hear you're having problems with the Zanussi. I'd reccomend giving them a call and explaining the situation and stating it took 4 hours, which is pretty long for one wash Hope it gets sorted

Noisy on spin, what could it be?

Hey Steve I have tightened the concrete weights so the noise has stopped which is good as we no longer need to purchase a new machine :) The machine doeswn't heat the water, think i'm going to order a new heating element and hopefully that should sort the problem as it has been running problem...

very very very very strange hoover machine!

This is the first range of visions, they only claimed 5kg capacity as far as I remember. The second range of visions such as the VHD812,VHD814,VHD816 and VHD816i also had the powerjet and did the ditribution washing/rinsing. I remember I was intrigued by these when they were launched :)

Noisy on spin, what could it be?

Thank you very much :) The cycle is running as it should, washing, doing its distribution washing, spinning etc when it should. The tips looked fine to me, I removed the plugs and put them back on to see if that would cure the problem but it didn't. Should I get a new heating element? As with...

Noisy on spin, what could it be?

I've checked all the wires on the heating element and on the board behind the control panel. They're all in. The machine is now on a 70oc wash but isn't heating :s Does that mean a new heating element is required? Thank you

Noisy on spin, what could it be?

Hey everyone :) I got round to opening the machine up yesterday. I found that the bottom weight at the front of the machine was just a tad loose, which caused that awful noise. Thankfully the machine was no longer being used and it didn't come apart. It got tightened and is working as normal...

Noisy on spin, what could it be?

Thanks everyone This made me laugh (just a little :P) I'm not sure if a bra has got in, i'll have to ask the female folk if they are missing any hehe Update- Apparently I have been told it got even louder today.

Noisy on spin, what could it be?

Okay, it possibly could be. I think we've decided to replace it now as it is pretty loud. Thank you :)

Noisy on spin, what could it be?

Does it sound like the suspension? As the suspension sounds the same as it does normally when you wobble the drum. It sounds a bit like a jet at the final fast spin 1000+. Someone said it could be the spider, is that a possibility? Thanks

Noisy on spin, what could it be?

Hey Thank you for the replies I got round to taking videos yesterday. As you'll see it only gets loud at high spin speeds. Its fine whilst washing and rinsing. The drum bearings seem fine as when the drum is spun there is just the normal sound. Any comments, help etc will be appreciated...

Noisy on spin, what could it be?

Hello everyone I visited my aunts yesterday evening and she was saying the hotpoint aquarius wma58 was making a weird noise. I put it on spin, it seems to be rattling whilst at higher speeds it will rattle for a few seconds stop for 1 or 2 seconds etc. Could it be the bearings on their way out...

    shopping in currys

Well if you live in a household that has say 5 or 6 people then you create a lot of washing. Which is the case at ours, the 9kg LG is big enough for us as it meets our needs. If theres someone living alone or just a few of them then a 6kg machine should be able to cater for their needs. We did...

    shopping in currys

Thats always been one thing I hate that indesit company are doing! The 6kg and 7kg models have the same 52l drum. The 8kg and 9kg models have the 62l drum. The new aqualtis' are slightly bigger at 71 litres (correct me if i'm wrong). However that is not equivalent to 11kg of washing, my 9kg LG...

Another article about Candy hit the newspaper today...

I like washing machines that have a shower spray or jet system. My LG has a shower spray system too, its pretty much the same thing as once its filled the shower spray starts and the detergent concentrated water is sprayed onto the clothes. The shower spray is on all the time except when...
