The refrigerators that Duke is referencing were the ones Maytag had made by Daewoo starting about 2003/2004. We've had to make a defrost element for these quite a few times. Once WP bought Maytag these parts became NLA. That, and Daewoo had $$$$ problems.

To the OP, look for the MVWB766FW model at an independent appliance store.  It's the same washer but comes with a full 5 year parts & labor warranty.  We've sold a few of these models & so far the reviews I've heard from customers are positive.

I believe the dual-action agitator needs a little more water in it to not damage your clothing.  The Maytag and Kenmore models like this have the HE powerwash agitator (or agipeller as it is sometimes referred to).

The washer is working correctly.  Your model will fill to a minimum of 13" of h2o on auto sense and 15" on deep fill.  The Kenmore & Maytag version of this washer will fill to a minimum 4-8" on auto & 15" on deep fill.

Your pre-cleanup  inner tub pictures and agitator build-up pictures are pretty much normal on the vast majority of Atlantis washers we get in.

Refrigerators all Mexico -- NOT true.  Amana, IA makes the bottom mount refrigs.  They also do freezers in Ottawa, Oh.   Maytag Epic  -- has been out of production for some time & was made in Germany.  Now the Maxima is in the US.
