That is interesting about the different ownership. Here in the US, Trader Joe's is considered an upscale grocer with gourmet and ethnic offerings, and lower prices as compared to, say, Whole Foods. Aldi here is considered the value store, with less service and selection.

Congrats on the new machine! I've also noticed the longer drying times it takes for laundry washed in a top-loader. If a top-loader were to be my only washing machine, I think I would setup a clothesline in the backyard for sunshine-assisted drying.

I really like the way some of the cabinetry is done, combining dark wood with light wood, as seen here in the bedroom. It is possible the wood is all the same, just some with a dark stain. That would be a clever way of dealing with wood that has uneven shading, if you desire a more even appearance.
