it's a Canuck that's the one I have but with a different agitator. The friend that gave it to me said she bought it new in the mid-80's from, you guessed it, the long gone and missed Eatons.

Hmmm... Last month I bought a 10 pack of Lux bar soap at Shoppers Drug Mart, on sale for $3.99 - bought it only because of the name and the slightly reminiscent packaging. It's pretty awful - greasy, strange scent. Imported by Unilever Canada but God knows where from...

I have a Simplicity wringer from the '80's. It's fun but lacks the "oomph" of your basic old fashioned wringer.

Well, she is pushing 80 and has been on radio or tv in Canada about 30 years. I met her once eons ago and she is exactly the same as her on air personality....just less graphic...

I have to add support for Weight Watchers. My friend has lost over 160 lbs! It's taken about 4 years but she's 5 lbs from her goal weight now but a completely different person - active, fit, out hiking and walking. She swears by WW and their point system - the results say it all.

hmmm....considering we don't even have residential water meters in Vancouver, I think they must be planning for the future.... far off in the future.

Like most Canadians, I oppose the seal hunt. It's a highly controversial issue here with the Inuit & first nations peoples talking about thousands of years traditions etc. However, it really comes down to one thing - there is a market for that fur. Someone, whether it's in the US, Canada...
