Is he kidding on the price???

This would be closer to 1965, since it has the modern changer with the Tonal 1 arm on it. I think GE still had tubes in '63, don't know when they switched completely over to transistors. I like it, but more like $200 or a LOT less.

Store Brands of appliances and electronics that are gone

What store brand electronic was used in TGY? Anyone remember Juliette, and Silver Marshall? Not the early radio S-Ms, the '70s and '80s cheapies. Eagle Army-Navy had Eagle electronics.

    Tricked Out Survivor

Reply #9 has the wheels, drums, hubs-aluminum, listed for $122 and some change. Option 694, the window sticker I included may be somewhat difficult to read.   BY THE WAY: What's new with the qsd_dan 1959 Pontiac Catalina station wagon? [this post was last edited: 5/2/2012-06:48]

Denise the Menace -- Hotpoint Combo?

@ tolivac If you can locate an FYE store, Barnes & Noble, BJs, some such place, try them for Dennis DVDs. I got the first year set at FYE. Otherwise, you can get them online, if you wish. By the way, on a Bachelor Father episode, when Bentley had leased his house out for six months, and...

Denise the Menace -- Hotpoint Combo?

Joseph Kearns died in 1962 at age 55, he dieted himself to death.  Actually, according to Gloria Henry, he had taken to drinking Metrecal three times a day, in hopes of losing weight. He turned 55 on Feb. 12, '62 and died on Feb. 17, five days later of a cerebral hemmorage. I liked him...

    Tricked Out Survivor

The eight lug wheels are the real deal. Catalina was Pontiac's cheapest full sized car, comparable to the Biscayne/Bel Air series cars.

    Tricked Out Survivor

I like both of the designs on the '63 and '64, if you remember correctly, they repeated the design themes on the fronts in '65 and '66, the chrome sided stacked headlights on the '65, the unexposed stacked lights on the '66s. And yes, they were differently shaped, but I thought the '63s and 5s...

    Find while at Kevin's

Love the Westclox And the Magnavox? That goes without saying! It's a miracle you found it before it could get tossed around by bored children, or was it in a glass case where they usually keep the nicer things? There is a Model 60 and a Model 80 on Ebay currently, the 80 is as complete as...

Late 50s Hotpoint Appliances spotted on Bachelor Father rerun

It's a shame about Kelly Corcoran, dead at age 43, Noreen, friendly with John Forsythe until his death, I like that. I like that Tommy Kirk got something for his work, even that late. I like him, always thought he was cute. Poor Sammee Tong, one of my favorites, committed suicide due to gambling...

Late 50s Hotpoint Appliances spotted on Bachelor Father rerun

I inherited a February 1958 Walt Disney's Magazine from my roommate, which has a two page spread called "Moochie gives a party" accompanied by six pix and only two paragraphs of copy. It's all very sweet and ordinary looking, no Hollywood crap, just a bunch of cute kids having a cookout. Cheryl...

Late 50s Hotpoint Appliances spotted on Bachelor Father rerun

I'm sure you know some of these episodes show up on YouTube, I was wondering a couple of days ago what the appliances were. It's my favorite show of the '50s-'60s. Peter also has use of a General Electric Swivel-Top on an episode where he composes the music for a sci fi television show.

I found a smoked glass Tulip table and four smoked acrylic chairs sitting in our Salvation Army, naturally with a SOLD sign on the set.

    New In Box WESTINGHOUSE !!

We had the same Immerse-A-Matic griddle with the control, sometime in the '80s mom had a fit to get rid of it. Think she chucked the booklet too, can't find it. I believe she won it in '58 in the NCO Club in Fort Knox on Bingo night. I have a ratty Immerse-A-Matic skillet with the old style...

Pretty In Pink-Vintage Universal Rundle Sink!

Beautiful bathroom sink, dated September 21, 1959 from a Birch Park model '59 or '60 General Development house. I grabbed it this morning before the trash trucks got it, and put it on my local Craigslist. The toilet went away a few weeks ago, either salvage or trash truck. The house is mostly...

Wanted to show off my 'new' ride.

Your new car is a beauty inside and out! I had a '63 Mercury Meteor, which was basically the same car you just got, had factory ice cold under dash air conditioning. Your car is perfect the way it is, in my opinion. It's in better shape, and mine was in super condition. Quick story, in the '60s...

So There I Was, Minding My Own Business

I'd swear that one of the women in the home permanent spot is Tippi Hedren, and the one girl in LipQuick is Lara Parker, seven years before "Dark Shadows".

Turquoise - NOLA - just in time for Mardi Gras

Metal edged counters!! That would look so good in my 1961 kitchen! I'd make the trip just for those!

11-25-61 was the first day we set foot in our new Florida house in River Park, Port St. Lucie. Still crazy, and still in it.
