Kenmore 15113 vs. Kitchenaid Spray Arm

Hey Folks! Decided to do a fun little experiment soon! I was looking around at spray arms when I realized, all WP built dishwashers have the same spray arm locking tabs, which then made me run to find a TotalCoverage/Powerwave spray arm. Upon finding one new, I was ready to order it, but...

The Roper you had resembles a Whirlpool Durawash.

    Intersting WP Belt drive washer

I love that these have the brake at the end of the spin...something the present VMW units don't. Tbh, I feel like they might bring this design back soon considering how problematic the VMW design still is, not to mention the how well it washes.

Why do modern dishwashers pause so much during the cycle?

No Soil Senor? That sure sounds strange...at the time my Kenmore 15113 came out, it was the BOL model and even it features a soil sensor. I did note after multiple replacements of the main board (which was incorrectly diagnosed and was the wrong part replaced 2-3 times) the dishwasher seems to...

    Intersting WP Belt drive washer

This immediately reminded me of the newer WP Top loads...except it features all mechanical controls...I feel like this would've satisfied more people if they went to this design. Agitation and spin looks very strong too. Thoughts?

    New Samsung Dishwasher Design?

Was poking around when I found a completely new designed Samsung dishwasher. It comes with a plastic tub and a stainless steel door (interior and exterior) and it's almost like a BOL WP plastic tub dishwasher with a twist of GE's hybrid plastic/steel models. Ironically enough the sump looks like...

    Maytag 8100 Front-Loader: Spin Problem

@henene4 Yep there are no hall sensors on WP based units. Seems you can only see them on Samsung and LG units. My assumption is that speed control and direction are heavily controlled by the CCU. I remember on the older generation of DD WP FL's, they actually used two control boards. A motor...

    Maytag 8100 Front-Loader: Spin Problem

Prices The price of the stator is a little alarming... https://www.whirlpoolparts.com/PartDetail/Stator/WPW10657810/4449084

    Maytag 8100 Front-Loader: Spin Problem

OOPS! Meant the stator motor LOL! Not sure how the stator has anything to do with the problem considering WP units don't even use a hall sensor... It seems as if its mearly just a stator style motor mounted to the back of the tub with nothing else, which could point to another indication of...

    Maytag 8100 Front-Loader: Spin Problem

Another Possible Fix? Ironically enough, its the exact same model as mine. Apparently replacing the stater fixed the problem. However I have not replaced anything but mess around with the wires and somehow it managed to work. The link below has a similar problem but their unit managed to reach...

    Maytag 8100 Front-Loader: Spin Problem

Just a theory: Could this be the machine telling you that the tub is hitting the cabinets side panels during the spin cycle and is prompting the user to stop the unit? Never once, did our washer beep when it had this issue, nothing even came up in diagnostics despite it even doing the exact...

    I was at Lowe's today-disappointing washers!

I'm also both While I do prefer older dishwashers more (I.E the point voyager and the Maytag Tall Tubs), I got to cut the line a washers. When our Inglis Direct Drive died after putting up for 13 years, I thought I was done for as all the top loaders at that time frame when it died, were the...

Maytag MHW5500 (New Models) Full Cycle!

Found this. I love seeing WP built front loaders spin, they always balance out so nicely compared to others. Seems to use a tad bit more water than my WFW72. The stator also seems to have a quiter whine ramping up (Kind of miss that whine) and the pump seems a little louder... BUT note the spin...

    The new ubiquitous dw design

I own the the Kenmore 15113 which is one of the earlier models with the filter. On occasion there have been some things especially silverware with food still stuck to them. For a while I acquired a Whirlpool durawash dishwasher (which i still own), when our main dishwasher was down. On the...

Samsung Flexwash - Home Depot Preorders and more Specs!

I'd avoid putting Samsung FL's on pedestals... Especially the flexwash when they already do shimmy and shake a lot...still. I'll be honest, Samsung really does tempt me with their FL washers and some of their other appliances too.

    Maytag 8100 Front-Loader: Spin Problem

Another thing I do want to point out The empty tub bouncing around that much is also normal, because it's empty there's absolutely no weight inside the tub to help counter the movement. It thrashing around this much is purely the balancing rings distributing. Usually I find you really can't...
