    Let's Talk Dryers

Oh yeah I knew that Bob. No there manufacturer ever had a pull out lint filter on the top of the machine. Would be nice if they had made the drum with the integrated baffle they used to have.

    Let's Talk Dryers

I had a 2013 Speed Queen dryer I left at my old house. It dried well on the *setting on regular/permanent press cycle with any loads. Was a good dryer and quite sturdily built. Much more so than my current Amana but the Amana dries well also. I like having the lint filter on top again. Missed...

    hi my name is cody

Yes Jerome people do love this site when they come to it. My advice? Just make sure you are above making errors because the "in" ones will let you have it.

Anyone own a Frigidaire dishwasher model FDCD2413US2A ? Thoughts ?

Cycle time for normal is a couple of hours or so. I'll have to time it but I know on my old portable Whirlpool that the normal cycle from start to finish was usually around 2 hours. Being this is my first built in I'm not so conscience of it because it isn't rolled up to the sink so time isn't...

1977 LK set and another belt drive

Those center dial Kenmores look just as good now as they did when first released in 1975-76. That design aged very well.

    FL with Recirc Pumps Question

It's good Whirlpool put that in their machines. They are very stingy with water use. The Whirlpool WFW6620 I had would spin the load in the beginning while the recirculation would spray into the middle of the drum thoroughly saturating the load for a minute or two. I'll say this. I would buy...

Looks like someone went down to the design archives at Frigidaire

Sears did source from Whirlpool back in the late 90s-early 2000s when Whirlpool started making their own gas ranges. Wonder why Sears went to Frigidaire and GE. I guess Whirlpool isn't strong in cooking appliances.

Blue jeans (or denim in general) and washing

When we had a department store in NJ called Bradlees I was wearing Lee jeans or Wranglers. Wranglers seemed to fit better for me. Now I wear Levi's. I wash jeans generally in hot or warm water and turn the legs inside out when new. I usually wash jeans by themselves. I try to keep loads...

speed queen new front loader shake

Would anyone recommend a Speed Queen front loade for a new double wide "manufactured" home ? My home is well built and well insulated. I really would like to go back to a front loader when the Amana kicks it.

    RCA Whirlpool Thread!

Nice aluminum surgilator. The designers of that agitator certainly had a sense of style.

LG is finally making "agitator" top loaders!

Water is a blessed gift of God and no one but man puts restrictions on how much water we should use for our washing clothes or flushing our toilets or our low flow showerheads. Ridiculous. After having a low water use front loader I am fine with how little water they use but at the same time...

    Attention all Whirlpool dishwasher fans...

I had a Whirlpool power clean portable for nearly 30 years. It was a quiet wash machine.I used normal probably 90% of the time because it was a powerful cleaner. I don't ever remember in all those years EVER taking a dirty plate from the bottom rack. That sucker was a hurricane in a box. Loved...

Anyone own a Frigidaire dishwasher model FDCD2413US2A ? Thoughts ?

Yeah lovestowash it is a great cleaning machine and the only other dishwasher I ever owned was the Whirlpool portable quiet wash. Coming from the Whirlpool I ha e to say the Frigidaire impresses me. My glassware shines with no water spots. As I mentioned though this Frigidaire's racks aren't as...

Shelter At Home Cooking: Show Us Yours!

I started using chicken broth about 30 years ago to cook the rice in. Was great at first but now I can't taste it anymore. Definitely can tell when I don't use it though.

1978 Frigidaire Jet Cone Washer Commercial

Didn't the first DAAs have a distinct ratcheting sound though ? In the Frigidaire video you can hear that sound.

Maytag Commercial Washer MVWP575GW Warranty Repair

I should correct "choices" rather there are more variables of water levels.

Maytag Commercial Washer MVWP575GW Warranty Repair

Correct Glenn. The Amana and Roper are just cheaper variants,..BUT you have more water level choices through auto fill.

Maytag Commercial Washer MVWP575GW Warranty Repair

I can say from personal experience about the Amana that it washes very well and works very well. Take that for what it's worth.
