I have the same dishwasher (the WP version) I usually use Heavy Wash, and its rare anything still comes out dirty.

My family had the exact same washer as in the Craigslist ad, right down to the color!!! The washer replaced a early 1960's Norge; it was purchased in 1974 and lasted until 1987, replaced with a filter-flo which lasted until 2001. Mom now has a DD whirlpool.

I've always hoped a member would do this type of presentation. Does anyone have other years of Sears catalogs they can do this with?

Does anyone know what was the last year of the "good" Kitchen Aid dishwashers? My parents bought one in 1988 and that was the old center latch style.

We had 2 Kenmores growing up; unfortunately they only lasted about 7 years each. The tubs rusted out at the bottom by the spray arm/ heater. Did anyone else have the same experiences with these machines? In '88 I finally convinced my father to just by a K/A and be done with it.

The strangest part is I do not remember this style washer in the stores back then, but boy do I remember the penta-swirl!!!! That was the top of the line agitator at the time, I remember the "piano key" models had switched to it by that time.

Frigidaire 2140, 2940 or Affinity. I love my Affinity 6000. They all are pretty much the same machine with different features, buy whatever you can get cheapest.

Line number one is the max I use for very dirty large loads. Usually I fillit to 1/2 to 3/4 to line 1. What does bleach do to FL's? I only use it for whites, but I will stop using it if it is hurting my machine.

My Affinity does the same thing, I believe this is normal. How are your clothes coming out? Mine are cleaner than ever with this machine.

Wascomat is part of Frigidaire or vice versa? This is good news I use a Wascomat on a normal basis and it is a solid machine.

Any other repair people out there that are familiar with the newer front load Frigidaire products that can provide their experiences and insight? The more opinions the better, especially with some of the imported shit (and yes I said it; SHIT!!!) that is out there the choices are getting slimmer...

Don't know about the reliability yet, but I love my new affinity ATF6000. I also replaced my Kitchenaid; a 1997 Superba. I was quite disappointed with the K/A at the end, 2 coupler replacements in 5 years and the washer quit again the day I purchased the Affinity with yet another broken coupler...

Pardon me if this has been discussed before. What are your favorite HE detergents and why? I have only used Arm & Hammer HE in my new Affinity so far and want to know how others have faired with different brands. I like the A&H so far. Also has anyone found certain brands suck?

My Kitchen Aid T/L washer broke down(again) Friday night. I think it is the coupler that went. It has been replaced twice already in the last five years. The washer will fill and empty, but just makes a clicking noise when the motor tries to agitate or spin. I think I hurt it's feelings...
