Okay, I have taken it apart. The drain hose at first seemed obstructed (I couldn't blow through it) but now that it's off the machine, it seems to be fine. I took the pump off too. Nothing visibly wrong with it. I don't have an Ohm meter, though. What should I do now?

Those dishes must have been pretty darned dirty to make that kind of mess in the filter. I don't have to clean my filter very often and all on my WP and all I do is scrape and give a quick rinse.

I guess I'm just one of these types that thinks prevention is better than cure. I have always shut off the water to my washer everywhere I have lived as well as using the braided stainless hoses for extra protection simply because those simple, inexpensive steps are much easier than cleaning up...

My 2012 BOL Frigidaire Affinity does a cold wash (on "Normal", all temps are cold), and two rinses unless "Fresh water rinse" is selected, then it does three rinses. It only spins after the wash cycle and then at the end of the rinses.

How cool would it be to go to the SQ factory and buy a W/D set fresh off the assembly line....:-)
