"Finish" Jet - Dry is THIN!!

Has anyone else noticed that Jet - Dry is now very thin? Almost like water. It leaks out of my rinse dispenser on the Kitchen Aid KDS-14. I bought a bottle of Safeway brand rinse aid which is much thicker (like Jet - Dry used to be!). It stays in the dispenser just fine. Is it just me?

    Synthroid vs. Armour Thyroid

The difference is "Synthroid" or generic, is a synthetic form of T4. Armour Thyroid is a freeze dried pig's thyroid that contains both T4 and T3. I asked my doctor about it today, and he said there is no benefit of Armour Thyroid as opposed to synthetic thyroid medication. I asked because I was...

    G.E. model V-12 washer in Tacoma,WA

I don't collect G.E.'s, but this one is in fair to good shape. Black agitator and tub, white filter flow on top. The front panel has some wear on it, but not bad for the age. Don't know if it works or not. They charge $15 for these machines out back.

    The Cost Of Going Green

$4500 trade in deal The Presidents trade in deal is a great idea. However, those of us that have the "old cars, or gas guzzlers" can't afford a new car! That's why we drive these older cars, for heaven's sake!! I would love to have a hybrid vehicle, but, how can I afford one on $8.55 an hour?

    Wedgewood Gas Range

The local St. Vincent De Paul has a 50's Wedgewood Gas Range for sale. It's in good shape, although the wiring to the clock and light is shot. They want $1,999! Is it just me or is that outrageously over priced? I don't know much about gas ranges, but there aren't any electric ones I would pay...

    The most quiet Kenmore motor!

About a month or so ago the motor on the 1960 Kenmore washer went bad. I had pulled it out of a 1970's model and it was a T-frame/cube design motor. I went to a used supplier and asked for one of the OLD style motors. They didn't have one, but he gave me a cube motor that he said was really...

Self-service drycleaning in laundromats in the '70's?

I do remember the coin-op dry cleaning machines! I haven't seen one in quite a while, but I do recall hearing they still had a couple working in a neighboring town. I also recall seeing labels on clothing that specified NO coin-op dry cleaning.
